- Ayane is now playable in her own exclusive missions
- she can now be controlled in the game's online co-op
- more playable characters will be added as free downloadable content in the future
- new level-up system, with upgrades for moves, health, costumes and weapons
- all of which are unlocked by spending 'Karma points'
- tougher enemies
- all-new arena-based mode called 'Test of Valor'
- select weapons and reference combo button selections via GamePad screen
- new emphasis on dismemberment
