Again, another game that is available in Enhanced Definition for Wii. There's no reason to be looking at or comparing the SD version of the game.

Meh, I don't really think it does all that much for the game. The big graphical limitation of Pikmin isn't the display resolution anyway, it's the low resolution and blurriness of the environment textures, which isn't improved by running the game in HD.
