Is this another tease for more Mutant Mudds?

This image was sent in by reader Matt. The only thing is, we can't remember if this same message was shown in the first ending prior to the DLC!

I honestly don't remember what exactly was said after the first playthrough. Can anyone confirm/deny if this is a new tease?

I can confirm it. That is the new end screen after you beat the DLC. I just finished the levels today. Seems to hint at Mutant Mudds 2.

Yeah, I bought this as soon as the DLC came out, but quickly realized that I would have no perspective on what the game experience was before the bonus levels came out.

On one hand I appreciate that the content is fully integrated like it is, but on the hand I'm bothered that the original experience is essentially gone.

Not true. You could still download/store (from the internet or a friend with the original copy) the old game and put it on your 3DS. You just can't get it from the shop.

There really isn't anything like the "original experience" you could miss. All the DLC did is add extra doors in levels where there's been empty space and/or tilesets before, which can only be accessed after finishing the "original" game 100%. So you're still forced to complete the game in exactly the same fashion as before.

That said, I was a little underwhelmed by this message being the little something Jools talked about that would be the "reward" for completing all of the extra levels. They definitely improved the value of the complete package though, even though I'd argue most extras where easier than some of those drat final four stages of the main course. (Or maybe it's just getting used to the game.)

the background in question looks like a brand new level.
the green, sort of stylized hills arent based on any existing levels, so this is essentially a hint at upcoming new content :D

Like earlier posts, most likely a indication of what to expect in M-M2.

Possibly new enemies!

thanks for clearing that up since I didn't want to delete my save file and re-play the entire game again. Also, I am trying to figure out if the small circle on the right side of each door that is empty is suppose to be another DLC level since the small circle on the left is filled with a yellow/gold color, then again it could be by design :)

Can't wait for whatever Jools comes up for Mutant Mudds 2.

Isn't the right circle if you found the hidden V/G levels and the right circle for collecting all the diamonds?
