I'm going to be in the minority on this one, but I actually had more fun with CTYD than with the original!

Sure, the original is definitely a technically superior game in just about every aspect, better looking graphics (while it's not the best looking 360 game, the Wii version definitely suffers), WAY more zombies on the screen, cut scenes that make sense, etc. But I really liked how they dumped the time limit and put more emphasis on the killing of zombies rather than the missions, though they're still important none the less. And the pointer controls are always welcome!

I just recently bought and beat Off the Record on the PS3 and I think that one is definitely my favorite thus far. It definitely made the improvements I was looking for. My point though is I hope that if they make a new installment it hits Wii U and has not just gamepad controls but IR controls as well, that well I'll have the best of both worlds.

No, you aren't the only one, GeneticRepoMan. I never had a chance to play the original version of the game, but I thought Chop Till You Drop was a pretty fun game. I never really understood why everyone was so down on it. And it really didn't look THAT bad. Maybe it did when compared to the "original" version, but I didn't think this Wii version looked too bad overall. It looked decent, played decent, and was a heck of a lot of fun chopping down zombies!
