Coming from the NoA press site...
Families and friends can experience Mario together like never before with Miiverse. See other players' comments and accomplishments while you play, and leave your own feedback for others to see when connected to the Nintendo Network.
Now we don't know what exactly the wording means. This could simply mean that the game will let your friends know through Miiverse that you've beaten a level or a boss. Some are thinking this wording lends itself more to the rumor of an achievement-like system on Wii U. Hopefully that upcoming Nintendo Direct for Miiverse will explain all! Thanks to ZeldaFanboy for the heads up.

Was accomplishments the word used to describe a trophy like system in an earlier rumor?
Whenever Nintendo's wording is vague I always assume the lamest and worst. It probably just announces when you do stuff in a message without saving any kind of universal accomplishment list.
Fairly sure accomplishments is the name used in the 3DS Mii Plaza.
@LegendofSantiago
Yes.
@Oregano
It is.
Getting hyped about this is a really bad idea. It's going to be something stupid.
Yes.
I think this is just going to be taking advantage of the Miiverse software to show you miiverse updates in game. Remember those videos long ago from Mario showing peoples comments? I believe that this is all they are alluding to.
please... this sounds exactly like the footage we've already seen 500 times... Here...
@radracerx Yep [we've known this E3, guys]. All your friends - the only people that matter - can see your Accomplishments [and vice versa].
And you can choose to update via other Social services [Facebook, Twitter] if you wish also.
Looks to be a very good streamlined implementation of the current [crap] Achievements system on the PS360 methinks - let's hope there's less stupid 'You Beat Level X' ones too!
That Nintendo Direct can't come soon enough XD
