Rayman Origins demo resurface on 3DS eShop, getting Nov. 6th release?

Rayman Origins on the 3DS may not be dead yet. Reader iiJCMii has noted that the original demo has returned to the 3DS eShop. This time around, the eShop also notes that the game will supposedly hit retail on Nov. 6th. I'll believe it when I see it in stores!

I heard the port is not so good. It seemed kind of lazy. At first i thought it was just the resolution of the 3DS not doing the game justice, but when the game zoomed in it still looked terribly compressed. The audio seemed the same way as well.

Aye there are a number of problems that make the 3DS port inferior even to the Wii version. The game looks like it's running well under the 3DS' native resolution. Even when zoomed in the details are incredibly blurry. There aren't as many enemies allowed onscreen at once, despite the fact that we're just talking about 2D sprites here. Though this part is inconsistent. Other parts of the game don't have trouble rendering large quantities of onscreen sprites (like the Freaking Flipper level where there's dozens of fish onscreen or all the lums floating around).

The music and sound effects are also noticeably lower quality and some of the sounds are cut off at either the beginning or end and don't loop smoothly.

The game also runs at 30fps and drops below that at times. All other versions including Wii run at a perfect solid 60fps and don't lag any. This doesn't change with 3D disabled either, so there's no reason for the lag to be present. Rayman Origins is gorgeous on an artistic level, but it's not exactly a technical marvel or difficult to get running on pretty much any system since the Dreamcast or PS2.

Overall a crappy port. Similar in technical problems to Ubisoft's port of Rayman 2 on DS which had comparable downgrade. The 3DS can easily handle a perfect port of this game that looks and runs as good as the Wii version. Ubisoft just isn't putting any effort into their 3DS ventures. And they've attempted to cover their tracks here by delaying the game despite no improvements over the course of time it has been in limbo. The game has been out for months in some other regions such as Europe and it still retains all the problems the demo had.

It's kind of funny since they also got the Ubiart engine working with the iPhone.
