We've known for awhile that the Wii U browser has some nifty features, such as tabbed browsing. What you might not know is that the browser only supports up to 6 tabs. That might not be enough for those of you that like to partake in...online...video...watching!

You need more than 6 tabs to watch porn, RMC?? Damn, killer!
I'm just glad there are tabs now instead of one page. And 6 tabs is way more than enough
That's not a big deal for me. I don't even use that many tabs on my smartphone. Only on my laptop do I use an extensive amount of tabs, because I usually have no real need to have more than 2-3 tabs up at the same time on a mobile device.
Why would you even limit tabs on a web browser?
I mean, I've got six open right now, and I'm not even viewing a lot of web pages!
Besides, what's a Wii U internet browser supposed to do when they visit TV Tropes?

Probably has to do with limiting RAM usage, as only a certain portion of the Wii U's total RAM is dedicated to system applications like the Browser (if I remember right).
@CM30
Well consoles need to be stable. Opening many tabs could hurt a game's performance and that's not something that should happen to consoles.
Six tabs are more than enough for a console browser anyway.
But but does it play blip videos due to it has HTML 5?
Only 6 tabs = WiiU fail....
More than enough for me.
Enough for me. I only will need it for occasional research and stuff.
Hahahahaha
I'm just glad there are tabs!
I don't think it's all that necessary honestly. The ones I leave open in Opera (which every time I use it opens where I last left off) do nothing more than the job of bookmarks. I guess for research purposes and all they're great but well... like @Wii_Jedi said, I'm just glad there ARE tabs.
6 tabs is more than enough imo, especially since it's on a console. If a pc browser didn't support more than 6 tabs, we would have a problem.
The browser sounds really good but I wish they struck a deal with Google and have a Chrome app. It will make things so much better. With the touchscreen they can also have some Google Play Portal or something where you can play special versions of the same games that Android has if the developers choose to. Stuff like that will resonate well in the market.
You are dead on with this. However, ninty is too strict to open up their system to a marketplace they can't control. I think thats understandable though.
