Wii U - update details
The following bits come from Rich of IGN. We will continue to update this as he tweets more and more information!
- Update adds a bar to the bottom of the menu with Miiverse, eShop, browser, Notifications and chat.
- Menu-to-Menu loading is slower than he would like. 10 seconds between screens.
- Setting up a Nintendo Network ID. The system will ask if you want to do it, but you can also go to user settings.
- System will asks if you are an existing member or using Nintendo Network for the first time.

- Supported creditcards are Mastercard and VISA. You can't add more than $1800 to your eShop credit balance.

- Hitting 'Home' now reveals a far more complete Menu screen for Wii U. Friends, Miiverse, eShop, browser all one touch away.
- Download Management: Look at the progression of your downloads. You can also tell system to shut off after.
- Netflix requires a small update.
- After a download is completed, it will ask if you want to install it, before you go back to the main menu.
- That message takes you to the Download Management screen. Tap the game to install.
- COD Black Ops II listed in eShop as 'Retail Only'. But eShop allows you to see screens, basic info, controller needs and more.
- Friendslist: You can set your online status and allow others to see what you're playing when you're online.
