Oh my god. I think I'm going to buy this. I haven't had a Nintendo Power since Mario Sunshine was new.

Perfect! Farewell Nintendo Power. I'll always remember the excitement of waiting for the next issue, standing out by the mailbox. Every other month when a new issue came, life was good.

How it began so it will end... dammit.. so sad now

Dang. This hit me hard. I'm so bittersweet right now. I'm very very sad to see it go, but this cover is so so SO perfect. It pays great tribute to the very first cover, with clay Mario, "Free Poster Inside", "20-page spectacular", and the 80's-theme slogan at the bottom is fantastic. I can't wait to get this in the mail and read it. All three advertised stories look very interesting to read. I'd like to see their "Greatest Games of All Time" list.

Wow, that's actually a pretty classy way to end things.

Don't cry.

The magazine that ultimately marked the beginning of gamer culture comes to a close... I'll admit, I'm a little misty eyed looking at this despite not being a subscriber since 2007.

Awesome cover and such a great way to end. Even if we don't get Nintendo Power in my country, I'd love to have just this one issue.

This would've been the perfect time for Nintendo Power too, a new console and everything. I'm glad they decided to end this way, but old friends die hard....

agh this sucks.

They really knocked it out of the park with this one. I couldn't imagine a better cover for the final issue.

I'm really glad they're doing another countdown of the best games of all time. I was looking forward to them doing another one for issue 300.

Daaaaw, that's both awesome and so so sad all at the same time. I will definitely pick up a couple copies. One to keep sealed, and one to read.

I still feel that we haven't heard the last from Nintendo Power though. I feel it will live on in some new capacity down the line probably on the Wii U as a channel or something. We shall see. It was a great run though.

Incredible cover! I was wondering what they would do, and this just blew my expectations out of the universe. I'll pick a a few for sure.

I always thought they would do something major for the cover, but I never imagined anything as masterful as that. I was saving my money for a new game, but buying that last issue has now become priority number 1 for me (I at least owe them that much).

And even though I only been a subscriber for two years, it's true what they say: you never fully appreciate anything until it's gone.

Hate to use memes, but right in the nostalgia. I remember the cover of NP issue 1 popping up occasionally. Although I didn't start reading NP until around 2001, it still played a big part in my life; I found out about games I wouldn't have otherwise. While the Internet slowly began to chip away at my magazine reading time, NP was still there when I needed some insight or laughs. I stopped reading NP early last year, but I am definitely getting this last issue.

Until we meet again, stay gold.

Yeah, back before high-speed internet, Nintendo Power was one of my very few sources over what was coming out.

I am very glad those times are over, personally.
