Power up Wii U and you'll jump straight into WaraWara Plaza, a bustling square where Mii characters gather. Thanks to Miiverse, these Mii characters represent real Wii U players from all over the world! The messages that appear over their heads are posts they've made in Miiverse, so you can see what players all around the world have to say – and all within seconds of switching on your Wii U.

Mii characters like to mill around floating cubes that represent Wii U software; the size of the crowd around a cube indicates how many players are discussing that title. With WaraWara Plaza you can easily discover new software and see what other players have to say about it, all in one place. If a new game catches your eye, simply touch the cube and visit its Miiverse Community or Nintendo eShop page to learn more.

WaraWara Plaza is just the start of the fun with Miiverse – simply touch the Miiverse icon on the Wii U Menu or HOME Menu to leap into the full experience! Check recent and popular posts in Communities, add your thoughts with a handwritten or text post, and follow interesting users to keep up-to-date with content they post to Miiverse.
Miiverse is also the place to go to meet new friends and communicate with old ones. Send and check incoming friend requests, send messages to your friends to arrange online multiplayer matches, and more. You don't even need to quit the game you're playing to use Miiverse – push the HOME Button to suspend your game, spend some time in Miiverse, then push the HOME Button again to resume your game right where you left off!

Miiverse is also deeply integrated into select Wii U games, bringing a whole new dimension to your experience! In Nintendo Land, Mii characters from all over the world will visit your park, while in New Super Mario Bros. U players can share their triumphs and tips for beating a tricky course, with their messages displayed right on the World Map!

From fantastic hand-drawn art to lively discussion about the latest Wii U games, there's always plenty to see and enjoy in Miiverse! If all this has whetted your appetite for more information on Miiverse, be sure to check out two instalments of the Iwata Asks interview series – Iwata Asks: Miiverse: The Developers and Iwata Asks: Miiverse: The Producers.

See you on Miiverse!
