I just got a 3DS last month on sale because I didn't expect this to come.
Interesting...
Once you go XL it's REALLY hard going back to playing on the small screens of the original...with the terrible stylus placement...and gloss finish...and sticker start/home/select "buttons"....and non-locking 3D slider....and rigid D-pad....and clicky buttons.....
The text by the bundle box just says "3DS" not XL. That makes this an easy no-go for me.
Sorry, I only get the digital version and it doesn't have ads. As for the special 3DS: I would have been all over it if it was an XL. I have a 3DS and have been holding out for that one special edition 3DS XL I know Nintendo will come out with.
On the other hand, the glossy is a cool effect, the 3d blinks green so you know that 3d is available, the Cosmo black is an awesome non kiddie color, its compact, the resolution is the best and its perfect.
