Project X Zone to retain Japanese voices

Today's surprise announcement of Project X Zone getting localized is great news. I'm sure we're all quite excited to get a copy for ourselves. Just be prepared to hear a lot of Japanese. The title is going to feature the original Japanese voicework with English subtitles. No English voiceovers this time around.

This is one of those times that I wished they dubbed it in English.
I like my Anime in Japanese, but my games in English.

They are all 2d , it's basically an Anime ;) , well good news actually in europe we prefer the original dub for pretty much everything ( see our version of wii rhythm paradise )

Aww. Yuri Lowell's English voice was amazing though.

No surprise, if anybody played OG Frontier on the DS, there's so much talking you almost hear japanese voices more than the background music.

WHile nobody can argue the fact cuz it's set in stone and there's too much to translate, I'm sorry you have such a bias against english actors. So glad I can appreciate options whith peeps like you around lol.

@LordRoto If they hired good voices for everyone. People wouldn't complain about English voices.

Considering the amount of characters in the game and the amount of voice actors used for characters, even those who voice multiple characters, it would cost a lot of money and seeing as how this game basically bombed in Japan, they aren't so sure about how successful it will be in the West so they opted for this route instead i'm sure which is unfortunate, but understandable.

This is crap!

They should do English voice overs or not release the game at all in the West.
We Westerners shouldn't settle for this crap.

@M1

Speak for yourself. This is a fan service game and a niche title. I would rather it come with Japanese VO than not at all.

Japanese voice with subtitle? NICE!

Aside from not getting to hear Dante's VA again, I don't have a problem.

I'm fine with that. Bringing the game over when no one expected is already a win.

Please die!

Just kidding, but now you know how Anime fans feel when Japanese language is pulled out of games and Anime. I have nothing against a language option, but people like yourself shouldn't bitch at people like me who will not buy a game without Japanese voice overs.

This actually might make me skip the game and I've been begging for a NA release.

I'm all for Japanese being an option for those that want it, but the only option? No thanks.

But what @M1 said is crap.

Trust me, I turn the Japanese on as soon as I get the option anyways (Xenoblade, animes with daul audio). Looks like there WILL be a 3DS game to pick up before AA, can't wait. :D
