#Pikmin3 off-TV play can be thought of as GameCube-style gameplay in your hand. Wii Remote Plus' gyro sensor can be used on TV. I think that #Pikmin3 off-TV play is the freshest gameplay experience. Please look forward to it.
Miyamoto also detailed a collaboration that'll show Pikmin advertising in certain cinemas.
Pikmin, Bulbear to appear w/ Toho Cinemas logo before movie screenings. They'll be shown in 3D for 3D movies.

Playing Pikmin 3 on the GamePad sounds awful.
@TheBitBlock
....seriously?
so since they are showing the pikmin cinema commercial in 3D does that imply the game will support 3D?
3D has always had the effect of making things looks smaller and miniscule so I could see it heighten that effect in the game, would certainly be cool, if not just a novelty.
or is the cinema thing not showing any gameplay and is just CG?
@TheBitBlock
Coming from the guy who was requesting Wimote+Nunchuck controls for the story campaign of ZombiU!...
The exact opposite!
How are Gamecube controls awful? They were great on the Gamecube! I like having the ability to move the swarm of Pikmin around me independently of Olimar.
With GamePad play, who's to say you can't control stuff by using the touch screen too?
Draw a circle around a group of pikmin to select then, etc
Got a release date Nintendo?
@Chased
I kind of have to agree with you. It seems like TheBitBlock just hates the Gamepad or something. Why would Gamecube controls with touch screen support be a terrible play style? I have no idea...
yeah, also you don't have to play off-screen if you don't want to experience that controls... don't have to bash everything you dislike. It's a nice addition to the game since I was thinking that it wasn't going to have off-tv play, so good to know!
Yeah because no one could have possibly played Pikmin without a wii remote, it's not as if it came out for the Gamecube or anything.
