Lumphead:

Damn you.. I was looking like crazy for a news update on this! Hehe! But it truly does seem promising! :) That and Destiny ;)

Where is that ND for 3rd parties...AH!

For those who do not want to support Ubi.. At least get the game used and.. uhm.. Send money directly to the devs instead. They ahve done a great job. So much passion in this game. They can't help what the men in ties above order them to do!

They will be coming out for them. But the Wii U is getting it for free. It will be a part of the retail release on all consoles. Some content is exclusive for Wii U (the gamepad specific stuff)

So what? We should have gotten the entire fucking game on Feb. 26th. Period.

I guarantee that this great game will not get the sales it otherwise would have out of many people, simply because of being pissed about this unnecessary delay (and the many other big games coming out by that time of year).

Wow... This is... Actually a great answer...
I'm still pissed off at Ubisoft, but the devs are doing so much... I can't get myself to not buy it now. o_o
Still cancelling my preorder, but only because I want the digital game more...

This is disgusting - having the dev team doing damage control because the corporate jerk offs know that this kind of shovel is bound to make people soft. They're betting that you'll feel so sorry for the dev team , that you'll end up buying the game in the end. This just makes me more upset with ubisoft.

It's like this

Either you want the Wii U version of the game to succeed and prove loons like Pachter wrong that the Wii U is worth it for 3rd parties or You people keep on being hateful, mean spirited and ignorant to the point that you made game Legends suffer the same fate as the game's predecessor but a bit worse

...what does that have to do with 360 and PS3 owners being hateful?

If you visit a game forum or anywhere chances are a huge portion of those whom own either a PS3 and 360 have the most hateful attitudes
Well, you fanboy isn't showing at all, is it? First of all, quit acting like forum goers are the majority. Not all gamers hang out on forums. You're only seeing a sliver of the 360/PS3 gamers. I've seen jerks from all 4 sides (Nintendo, PC, Sony, and Microsoft).

What do you have to say about those of us who have a Nintendo system and a PS3 and/or 360?

We have to wait longer, but the Devs that everyone is praising are making it an even better game. Why would anyone boycott that?

Nintendo pushed back Twilight Princess. It sucked, but they changed it, refined it, and made it better. I'm pumped that Ubisoft will have all the time they want.

I know they delayed it weeks before it came out, but did we really expect Ubisoft to be as classy as Nintendo? Nintendo knows how to handle this. Let Ubisoft be awkward and amazing.

Come to think of it
It's a bit hypocritical this boycott isn't it?
Let's support the developers of this game by not buying it
What sort of logic is that?

Ubisoft, I now forgive you, and will buy this game when it comes out on my Wii U, not 100% happy, but dude, its a free little game, and i LOOOVE free games.

It's not really a boycott from me, just a lack of interest.

I am not really a Rayman fan, but it looked okay and it was the only thing coming out so was thinking to get it. Now that I'll have other stuff to play, I see no reason to pick it up.

I'm sure my one purchase would not help or hurt it. I just don't care about it much now.

I'll download this but still won't buy the game. :lol:

@VinceFox

It's perfectly logical. By purchasing the game you're not supporting the team, you're supporting Ubisoft as a company.

@VinceFox

Meanwhile, I've seen people on a dedicated 360 forum that are far nicer and accepting of other consoles than GoNintendo.

Seens lots of people who own a 3DS and are Nintendo fans or own all consoles and choose based on controller preference and features of different versions.

Nintendo fans are just as hateful if not moreso.

That said, I own a 360 and I want the Wii U version of this game and for it to succeed more than the other two.

@TheBitBlock

You most definitely are supporting the team. That doesn't even make sense.

How do you suggest you support the team if not by buying their game? Not their problem they have a sh***y publisher. Buying one game does not support Ubisoft as a company if you just want Rayman.

Unless you are going to send the team $60 to split there's no other way to support the devs than buying the game. Yeah, you're giving Ubisoft money in the process, but to not buy it is just idiotic and hurts the developers as well as fans of the series in the long run.

It's one game. Don't buy AC3 DLC, Watch Dogs or any of their other games if you feel that way about Ubisoft, but don't stoop to their level of selfishness.

Firstly, Nintendo (obviously) doesn't delay things to screw over one group or another, which is precisely what Ubi is doing with Rayman.

Secondly, while Nintendo does have a long history of delaying games to make them better, that is not the case here with Rayman. Rayman was, by all accounts, completely done and ready to ship. The Devs have said so. Ubi has put them to work on the ports, for the most part. There most likely will not be ANY real improvement for the Wii U version, as it was already done.

Third, while I'm glad they refined and polished Twilight Princess, I have a feeling that even if they had released it back in 2006, when Miyamoto felt it "wasn't good enough", it still would have been an amazing game. Did it get MORE amazing? Sure. But I'm confident it would have been great in that earlier form just as well. And I certainly don't believe that it "sucked", which led to delays.

Ubisoft has made a good decision to do this, and some of the respect i had for them has come back, but they shouldnt have to do this in the first place.
Bring us Watch Dogs, Ubi, and all will be forgiven.

I feel sorry for those upset about this still.
They are obviously doing all they can.

This game WILL sell better now that it's on all consoles.

Suck up your poorly placed pride and support this game.

For me I recognize that the developers are doing there best at to make the most of a bad situation and will definitely check this out. If I like the content they release then this game will go higher on my to buy list.

@VinceFox
I get what your trying to say but your act of trying to shame people into getting the game and generalize all 360 owners and members of GoNintendo as obsessive fanboys doesn't help the game's cause.

Meh, it doesn't change anything for me. I'll play the free content but won't pick up the full game at full price (and I own a PC, a PS3 and a 360 for the record).

Entity wrote:Damage control...But GOOD damage control. I'm still getting this game. I was never to boycott it, nor Ubi (specially after ZombiU). I want this game NOW though! As intended. And it would have been good for Nintendo also if it stayed exclusive, but OK. This is OK, since Lego City, MH3U and Wonderful 101 are coming out soon anyway. Some games I am after anyway.

And the Wii U exlusive will stay, of course. Would be plain stupid if they had to through those away. just water down the PS360 versions and keep those Wii U things intact on the WiiU. No biggy.

Curious at to what is up on Miiverse now ;)

I actually can't wait for the Miiverse app to launch so that i can check and post on Miiverse from my smartphone... especially now, when I'd like to check the Rabbids Miiverse where people are undoubtedly posting and drawing reactions to this announcement.

It would've - had they all released in this half of the year. Now it's been sent out to die on all of them.

So nay, I might check-out this free demo, but I'm not buying the game and supporting Ubisoft's practices.

I gotta say, this game has become a tricky beast.

On one hand, you could boycott it and screw over Ubisoft, but you'd screw over the devs as well, and probably kill any chances of another Rayman game any time soon.

On the other, you could buy it and help out the devs, and potentially fund another game, but you'd also be validating Ubisoft's scummy decision to delay the game for multiplat two weeks before it was set to release.

I'll be buying it, personally, but I can definitely understand those that aren't. Just remember that if you aren't, you're hurting more than just a handful of corporate-types.

Heroes have to make the hard choices.

Gotta say I am pleasantly surprised and delighted by this news. It doesn't exactly take all the sting away, but it's a great little nod/thank you to Wii U owners, and a score for Nintendo

I highly suspect the addition of online functionality was already planned. Meaning, it isn't a response to disgruntled Wii U owners. I bet when Ubi decided to delay the game and make it multi-platform, they also decided at the same time add these features. Online features like these are common, and perhaps expected on PS3/360 games.

However, I do think the demo is in response to upset Wii U owners.
