Why are these two games always listed as being affected?

I guess they run in Nintendo's server farm while other games have their own (or those are hosted by other publishers).
This is not an emergency maintenance if it was they wouldnt wait a whole week to fix something they aren't sony.
Whats the emergency? And why over this weekend?
