I don't think Nintendo confirmed it until now that Wind Waker Remake will be at E3 as well, though that was to be expected since its planned for a Fall release. However, we don't know if it will be in playable form or not.

Smash Bros will only be about a year into development by the time E3 hits, so by the end of the year, it will only be 1 1/2 years since development started. If its anything like Smash Bros Brawl, then it will need around 2 1/2 years of development time (which was reportedly worked on by Sakurai and close to 100 staff members full-time). The simultaneously development of the 3DS version will likely mean we won't see the game released until late Summer/Fall 2014, but it could easily get pushed to holiday 2014 due to potential delays.

Since I can't play it until Fall I only want an Official Trailer and Screenshots of the official TWW HD Remake. No more mockup screenshots Iwata and if you get to talk to him RMC tell Iwata that we want an official release date for TWW HD as well.

I think that's what we'll get for Nintendo Direct in June, but at E3, the game will likely be in playable form. :)

As much as I want a new Mario Kart, I still think it's a bit too early to release another one after Mario Kart 7.

...Which gives me a bad impression that they're going to rush the game again.

To all the haters and nay-sayers. Nintendo is gonna blow 'em away, again.

@ridleysaria

Or A Link to the Past sequel for 3DS.

In both cases, psyched

@Barto

But this PR is about Wii U.

Yeah but just don't post any videos on YouTube, only we get to do that, despite everyone else giving us additional advertising and coverage *rolls eyes*

Who the heck needs EA when we have playable Smash Bros?!

Can not wait to see TWWHD again after so many months...and of course our first real glimpse of Smash!

At least one of those Mario games has to come out this year. Smash must be out by next summer. Also if those are the only major games shown you might as well write off the Wii U. Normally I wouldn't think such a thing could Hsieh but with how Nintendo had been under lately who knows? Seriously there has to be a shakeup at the top of Nintendo at this point.

Very cool if my assumptions are incorrect.

The thing is that we know what to expect of TWW HD. We really don't have any clue of what to expect from the new Zelda on the Wii U. Not that I'm expecting them to show off the new one while they're still advertising TWW HD.

Do not expect SSB4 to be playable at E3 this year.

Nintendo clarified that they have another Zelda project for Wii U in the works besides Wind Waker HD. Odds are they'll show off Wind Waker in force and give a teaser/reveal trailer for their other Zelda project at E3

even many of the nay-sayers I've run into (mostly at Neogaf and such) are kind of expecting a great Nintendo showing considering if Nintendo doesn't show up with some quality shovel in tow it'll be kind of hard for anyone besides the most faithful Nintendo fan to conjure up any faith for Wii U at all after that.

They said they'd at least show pics of the game. I seriously doubt it's far enough along for a playable version at E3. I do believe Mario and Mario Kart will be playable, however, along with Wind Waker HD.

See THIS is why they are not having a big expensive presentation.

They are showing off 4 of their strongest franchises they don't need to make a big deal, show gameplay and footage and they automatically win!!!!

Smash won't be on-hand, and I don't see were you saw "on-hand" anywhere here, still, I can't wait! :D
Also, don't hold your breath for anything related to the next original Zelda (apart from ALttP2), we won't see anything before at least next year, the way they talked about it, it's looks like it's still in the prototyping and discussion stage... Maybe we'll get some concept art, but I don't hope for much more.

Go play something else if you don't want TWW HD. As for those of us who do, it will be great to re play it in HD Also it will hold me over until the Wii U installment comes, then they might re release Alttp for the Wii U VC, there is the Oracle Games coming May 30th for the 3DS, there is Alttp2 coming this year too. So this is going to be great.

As for Mario Kart, Mario, and SSB it will be great too.

Hey now, don't get bent out of shape. As Radiant said, we already know what to expect from Wind Waker. That doesn't make for an exciting E3, hence the yawn. I want to play it as much as anyone, but it's a known quantity.

The safest way to say it was screenshots, if they can't afford to produce a video in time, but I'm pretty sure they will show some good content.

They can't afford to produce a video in time?

I'm pretty sure that an average video editor can made a decent trailer in less than two days. Give him some footage an he'll come up with a trailer in less than 46 hours. Just sayin...

@andrelol3

What if the character models aren't done right, what if they don't have textures yet? I'm sure they can record some footage, but if the dynamics and physics of the game aren't perfected then it's useless to have a video editor.

@ridleysaria Well it just sounded to me like you did not care about replaying it. I want to see how it'd work with the Gamepad, I want to see if they will allow us to use the Wiimote, Motion+, and the Nunchuck as a second or third control option, because Wind Waker would make for a great Wiimote, motion+, Nunchuck based game.

But like I said wheither we know how the game will be, they might have added some extra content in. They might have added a worth while Boss Mode, They might have made a Wind Waker Master Quest to play after beating the original game too you never know.

Not to put anything against newer stuff, I am ready for a game to hold me while we wait for Zelda U. They could have improved upon Wind Waker by adding in new dungeons or might have changed the boring Triforce Quest. I hunted down the pieces as quick as I could so it would not take up so much time the last time I played the game too.

@Radiant Yeah like I told ridleysaria we may know what to expect, but they might have added or changed a few things.

For both of you:

They might have changed the Tingle Tuner controls to allow for 3DS and Gamepad controls that way we don't need anything to connect to use the tingle tuner once we obtain it from Tingle himself. I remember when I played TWW the first time thinking that using the GBA alone was boring and should have allowed for a second option to use the GCN Controller's second slot for the then released later DS Phat that way we did not need the GBA system or the use of a second Gamecube Controller in some way. With TWW HD they could use the 3DS and Gamepad as Control options for the Tingle Tuner and the Wiimote, Motion+, and nunchuck and Gamepad as 2 main gameplay options. If you have a Wiimote+ all you would need is the nunchuck to connect to it for the game to still work with it too.

But I understand your guys's points. I am just ready for another Nintendo game like most everyone here.

B-b-but Nintendo gave up on E3 and the Wii U! No big press conference and EA stopped making games and engines don't run on their new system and-and-and The sales weren't 50 million already and Wii U is already dead!!!!i!!!

I don't know if the rumors were true or not that Retro was supposed to reveal their game at the last E3, but given another year, we should see something right? I want to see more Wind Waker, X, and a Gamecube VC announcement so i can finally pack away my Gamecube games.

Nintendo's games are mostly very innovative and New, even with the same franchises. While 90% of all other games are CoD. I'm sure you, and most others, will be very impressed with at least a few of the games they will show.

Anyways, I really doubt Smash will be playable, but a little Video Teaser would be epic. Hopefully, they will show at least one new character<3
