Double check the list of participating Best Buy locations for E3 Wii U demo play

It seems like the list of participating stores for the Best Buy Wii U E3 demo sessions are dwindling. We've had a number of people email in saying that they've seen the number of stores in their state drop since the initial announcement. Make sure to double-check the list to see if your store is still in on the fun.

So none in Oregon. At first it was only Portland, now zero locations.

It looks like Michigan went from 4 to only 1. Luckily the one left is the closest one to me. :)

Indiana remains unchanged. Since there's only one let's hope it stays that way.

The only one in WA (Lynnwood) is still there. It'd better be, since Nintendo of America is close by...

Nintendo: They've BEEFED IT AGAIN! They had me planning a trip when the closest store was 20 min away. In California they had about 6 or 7 listings. Now they have 2 FOR A STATE THE SIZE OF CALIFORNIA! There's NONE in the entirety of So.CAL. The closest to SoCAL is freaking bakersfield! Who the hell chooses to go to bakersfield for ANYTHING?? The only other listing is in Emeryville, CA in the SF bay area. Thats an 88 mile ONE WAY TRIP! What is Nintendo and Best Buy smoking if they think this is some kind of gift to fans and hard core gamers? IT'S NOT. IT'S CRAP! NINTENDO.. You really screwed the pooch on this one and you've done NOTHING but make yourselves look like dumbasses. again!

This list looks like the incomplete list that was on the Best Buy site as it was preparing for the official release. For example, only two places in PA were listed before the site went live. Those are the same ones that are currently listed. Dropping Philly and Pittsburgh but keeing Reading and Erie would make no sense.

Has anyone called a "dropped" store to see what is happening?

I was planning on going after work. Sadly the one 5 minutes from work is not listed. Thanks for the heads up. Fine print says check back Tuesday for the final list so I can hope they add it back in.

For 4 hours. It's a disaster.

I noticed this yesterday. First Zelda Symphony refuses to come to Ohio, now this. :(

Shucks! I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to make it to one anyhow, but now that it's even out of the question at this point is disheartening.

EDIT: And if I REALLY wanted to go, even the one in Pittsburgh is gone, so I couldn't even do a reasonable roadtrip.

One was about an hour out from me, but I'm visiting my fiance this week so I was checking yesterday see if one was closer to her and *POOF*

Yup, just checked the list after reading all this...and MD has gone from 3 to 1, with the one being an hour and a half trip (61+ miles) from my house ONE way around the DC beltway to get to it...umm...no thanks. Sorry Nintendo, but that's not going to happen now. :(

Didn't realize there were so many people from Ohio here? No one ever comes to Cincinnati (where I'm located).

I've been there a couple times, about a year ago. I live in Lorain, went to college in Columbus, and my fiance lives in Canton. But her dad lives in Cincinnati, so I go there every once and awhile with her when she visits him.

Your fiance lives in the same area I do, that's pretty funny actually.

This is like a horrible joke. California is now down to just 1 store in bakersfield. Plus, it's only for four hours each day, and it's limited to a single wii u demo unit per store! If there are four demos at 5 min each, that means that only 24 people in all of california will have access to the demos during the 2 days. E3 is in L.A. and they couldn't bother to have the L.A. stores participate? The West Hollywood store has a demo unit that no one ever plays, too.

When can we go in and play the games? On that same Tuesday?!
Edit: read the description that says June 12th 4-8pm. Damn tomorrow can't come soon enough!!'

Well shoot. My store is no longer on the list. I do not see the logic in this. North Charleston is on the list but not Greenville? Greenville is waaaaay larger.

Massachusetts dropped from 3 stores to 2 stores, which isn't as bad as some other states. It's still a shame: with a promotion such as this, you want to be adding stores, not dropping them.

I just called a "dropped store."

Person said (after checking): "Yes, we are still doing it Wednesday and Saturday. I don't know why they took us off the website."

People, this sounds like BestBuy had a system screw up and went to the WRONG version of the list.

So it sounds like it is NOT NINTENDO'S ERROR (this time.)
