Plan on getting it for PC when I get the Oculus Rift, anyway.

There won't be enough interest EVER if every developer thought that way. If you want people interested (ESPECIALLY in Vita) You've gotta make games for it. I would played the crap out of Doom 3 BFG Edition on Vita, especially if it still contained the classic DOOM games.

Why would you buy BFG when you can get the vanilla version with mods that make it look better and perform better than the moneygrab edition?

Betting people will get upset at him because it's not on 3DS or wii U and claim he hates nintendo, even though VITA isn't getting it. Even as someone who only owns nintendo systems I also get sick of one-sided people who forget the Vita is in the Wii U's situation

Read: Oculus Rift

Which will be modded into the original build easily enough.

Doesn't the game come free with the Oculus Rift?

We never did get Quake Arena for DS like he hinted at.

I would buy the BFG Edition again at full price if it had two player co-op, one on the TV and the other player on the tablet.

That's an easy one ... As for right now you can grab Doom 3: BFG for $5 USD ... Wonder why many will get this for PC and not for WiiU ??

Or you can get the vanilla game for slightly cheaper, which comes running on an engine from the era when id actually supported the modding community, as opposed to the new engine which isn't nearly as robustly modded nor modable and by id's own account isn't going to become so anytime soon.

BFG is a bastardized revision of a good game that deserved better, I'll stick with my original PC version thanks.

Oh well.

Not my type of game anyway.

I haven't play a Doom game for more than 15 years because they are not on Nintendo. At the end, i don't care at all. I still have my Doom 64 and quake 2 indi cd for DC, so i have no problem with what he says... that was the same thing last gen and the Wii has just sold 100.000.000!

Might consider the Oculus Rift version, if they get Wiimote support there.

Might not have even considered Wii U version.

Definitely would buy Rage though.

I wonder what he really meant by "extremely unlikely".. Is that entirely his call or is he saying it because of someone else said it?

Bethseda. They essentially own ID now (well parent company of both Zenimax owns them) and as such, if they wont support a platform, ID cant.

Same thing happened to the Mac version of RAGE (eventually came out without online play via another publisher) and the Linux version of RAGE (not happening, ever).

As for Doom 3 BFG, my biggest problem is the new mission pack. It make no sense from a continuity point of view. Meant to take place during Doom 3, but features enemies from Resurrection of evil. BWAH.

@IanC

Thanks for the info man. Makes more sense now given the blurr posted a couple of weeks back coming from Bethesda or someone from them saying development for the WiiU is not on the cards right now.
