GN Version 4.0
MANSFIELD, Ohio --- Triple Speed Runners will host a week-long (168-hour) Zelda marathon, starting Saturday, Aug 10 at 6 p.m. EST

The Zelda Marathon will consist of at least one playthrough of nearly every Zelda game. In some cases, the player will attempt a speed run, while some games will be completed casually. Games will be played in timeline order so that viewers and players can easily discuss the series' story.

TSR is delighted and proud to again raise money for Child's Play. Viewers will have the opportunity to donate through a custom donation widget located conveniently on the Triple Speed Runners homepage. Prizes and interactive incentives will be offered throughout the marathon to encourage donations.

In order to fill the 168 hours of gameplay, TSR will play certain games multiple times in different fashions. The catch is that viewers will have to match predetermined donation levels for players to attempt bonus playthroughs. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be completed using only three hearts, but only if so much is raised for Child's Play.

Every game vital to Zelda canon is included in the marathon. If donations allow, TSR will include non-canon games and rarities, including CDi, Super Smash Bros. and Soul Calibur played as Link.

A unique addition to the Zelda Marathon is that DS and 3DS games will stream flawlessly via a direct connection. Viewers can enjoy games, such as Phantom Hourglass, free of a low-quality webcam capture method.

Viewers can suggest games via the Twitch chat box, or ask for another run of a game with suggested parameters to add extra excitement into the marathon. Everyone is encouraged to get into the action and conversation.

Prizes have always made TSR marathons a special event for viewers, and this marathon is no exception. Authentic Japanese copies of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, A brand new NTSC copy of Skyward Sword, and other smaller prizes are all up for grabs! To win a prize, viewers will have to meet a donation requirement, or participate in interactive activities to enter into a randomly drawn raffle.

Additionally, the group will come up with more incentives to win prizes and donate to Child's Play. Trivia, viewer challenges, and TSR member challenges are all possibilities.

This event is TSR’s 15th marathon and 20th scheduled event. Members are hoping to break the previous single-marathon donation record of more than $3,700 which was achieved in the Megaman vs. Marathon of May 2012. TSR has raised more than $10,000 for various charities since the first marathon in July 2009.

Everyone is invited to help Child's Play reach a common goal shared across the gaming community; to provide toys and games to comfort hospitalized and less fortunate children.

As always, the marathon will stream on TSR’s website: www.triplespeedrunners.com, or on twitch.tv/triplespeedrunners.
