Persona director teases multiple announcements to celebrate 25 years of Atlus

I’m sorry for the concerns caused by the recent circumstances, and I apologize. Next year is set to bring many announcements as part of the 25th anniversary of the Atlus brand, but there are a few things I’d like to share before that. All the unannounced titles we are working on are “under zealous development”. The challenge, for the time being, is how good they will be. We have spent days full of problems and worries, but we work strenuously so that it doesn’t break our focus.

Looks like the values of games have become very diverse nowadays, but as long as we continue to think about you that love our games, about the creativity, the know-how accumulated, the challenges and the expectation of results, I believe that the future of the series will be something great, full of fun and stimulating. - director Katsura Hashino

Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is what I want to hear more about. Persona 5 will get its due play from me, but I can't stop thinking about that crossover!

I really, really, really, really hope that Persona 5 comes to Nintendo consoles. Nintendo has none of the Persona games...not even Persona 4 Arena.

Well this is good news. I'm glad to hear they aren't affected too much by the things going on and I can't wait to see what they have in store.

I think Persona 5 will remain with Sony systems. Though given 4Arena, I could be wrong. Definitely wouldn't mind it heading our way as well though.

Pretty sure SMT4 and the Nintendo deal right now sparked a decent set of sales for them. Sure worth another effort to tie, maybe, Persona 5 on Wii U with a purchase of what's available then would spark more desire. Could even prove there is fans within Nintendo consoles.

I am absolutely convinced there is a potential market for more Atlus games on Nintendo platforms. 3DS is already getting quite a few but the Wii ended up with only the Trauma Center series, and the last (and best) one of them didn't even see release in Europe, which was supposedly an important market for that series. So they never really tried on Nintendo platforms.

Then again, Atlus is probably going to rely on their old habits to make sure they can rely on sales. Which means more Sony/Xbox exclusives like what they have been doing for a couple of years now. I could be wrong because SMTxFE could be a sign of things to come but I sincerely doubt we'll see Persona, crazy projects like Catherine or Dark Souls anytime soon on Nintendo platforms.

Now if I were them, I would try real multiplatform (as in Sony/M$ AND Nintendo) because apart from Dark Souls, their games are not too hard to port, invest heavily in PC gaming and try not to raise the graphic aspect in games that don't need it. Like Persona for example.

Persona 4 is my favorite jrpg(a position, thats perhaps now shared with Pandoras Tower). I only quite recently played P4, but it made such an impact on me, that a Persona game has a strong effect on my console acquisition, if not even dictate it.

When 3DS was coming, a Persona game was announced for it, but as the fud was being lobbied so heavily that it had an impact to 3DS sales, the Persona seemed to disappear.
