Super Mario 3D World includes Nunchuk support for multiplayer

Coming from an EDGE feature...

Super Mario 3D World is clearly being sold on its multiplayer – this is, after all, the first 3D Mario game to offer it – and we were relieved to see that Nunchuk support has been added in this second hands-on with the game. At E3, those not using the GamePad were forced to navigate 3D space with the Wii Remote’s D-pad.

Should just support all the controllers ever, really.

Ugh, good. I played it at Best Buy with the D-pad and it was a horrible horrible experience.

ok i have all those wiimotes from my old wii (6 in different colors) there ready to be used...

but for a person who is new to wiiu for less the price of wiimote+nunchuk i would suggest the pro controller to play in 4 on wiiu...
as long games support pro controller...

Of course, it's a 3D platformer. Not including this would have really been a sin.

What about the Pro Controller or Classic Controller?

Why is this a widely spread notion? Super Mario 64 DS has multiplayer, as do the Galaxy games, even if untraditionally.

This has Wii U Pro support right? Now that NSMBU/NSLU support it I was getting ready to ditch all my remotes and never speak of them again.

Awesome. Still think the Pro Controller will be the preferred method, but this is good too!

Dude, this is just confirming that the nunchuck will be useable in the game. We didn't know if the game was going to support it or not.

i just assumed , given that nsmb wii classic could used it. Glad about that, i'm sure i would have get used to the dpad. I just can't stop laughing at "hardcorez" complaining about the dpad and then going on ironsight autoaim scripfest hardcore game , it seems to me they don't really care about controls , or game for that matter.

Would be shocked if it didn't to be honest.
