Do you want an amazing deal on a soundtrack? Look no further than the Pokémon X & Pokémon Y: Super Music Collection, which was released today. You will be getting 212 songs for $9.99/€8.99/£7.99. Does it get any better than that?!

Darn, that's a pretty good deal!

And I do say Nintendo picked a good Pokemon title to first release as an OST on iTunes, as I think X/Y easily have the best Pokemon OST since R/S/E.

@Elfteiroh

I'm having the same problem. However, I assumed it might just be me because I've never tried downloading a whole OST before... So I'm glad to hear it's not just me. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

I agree, the music is REALLY great. Sycamore's theme is very good, and the Gym battle theme is simply awesome.

Hum, right now I tried again and it's downloading! I relaunched my iTune application, I don't know if it's the reason it's working or if just their side that fixed it during the time I reopened it. xD It also asked me to agree to the new terms and conditions...

[EDIT]
AW DAMN... It still gives me errors. O_o
[EDIT 2 ]
Ok, it finally went through! ... I hope...

Doubt it, as they never said it would be. I wouldn't fear. :P

It continued to give me issues, but one time after telling me that the server had reset (or whatever it kept on saying) I closed out iTunes and reopened it and the OST was marked as "Purchased" and sure enough it was in my library... On the iCloud, anyway. I've since started downloading them onto my PC, of course.

There's a nice little bonus thrown in alongside the Pokemon Origins themes - they added in the relative Pokemon R/B/Y themes to go alongside them!

@Shaanyboi A chunk of them are the short sound clips AKA Poké Flute, though.

Hate how iTunes has the monopoly on music, either getting music weeks before Amazon etc. [or exclusive to it]... >->

Yep, 3:34 of goodness.

I'm listening to the Gym battle theme right now. Sugar in my ears! (GET IT OUT! IT HURTS!!)

I will not use iTunes. I would sooner pirate it.

Do I have to use itunes to listen to the music after I buy it? It's going to give me Mp3s right?
User avatar

Yeah, iTunes gives you DRM-free music. It's AAC format though, I think, not MP3. If you want to you can use iTunes to convert it to MP3.

I don't know why, but I love the rival battle theme in X/Y.

I hate how they get this, too. As a result of this, I'll be importing the soundtrack in a physical format as soon as I have the money. More collectible as an actual physical disc anyway.

I actually sincerely have a problem with the fact that iTunes will replace your drivers with its own "approved" ones, to protect its music files. It's completely stupid, and Apple has no business doing this, I don't care what purpose it serves. Anyway, otherwise just not a fan of Apple, so I'll be spending a bit of extra money on this, but it'll be worth it to have a physical copy anyway.

This sounds awesome but I am not about to install the malware known as ITunes. Put it on Amazon for cheap and I will consider it, but I REALLY need a CD.

Maybe it can be a CN Platinum prize in 10 years......
