5. Splatoon (Wii U)
6. Minecraft (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
7. Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
8. Mortal Kombat X (PS4, Xbox One)
9. NBA 2K15 (360, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PC)
10. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)

- total sales for new physical games and hardware at U.S. retailers was up 18 percent in June
- Hardware, software, and accessories generated $869.4 million
- all three of these sectors saw growth
- software saw $345.5 million in revenues, which is up 21 percent year-over-year
- hardware was up 8% to $313.1 million
- through the first six months of 2015, combined sales of Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems increased by more than 20%
- sales of 3DS hardware have increased by more than 40 percent over sales at the same point last year
