Here's something I made right before they officially revealed the new model:

I wanted to surprise people but I only had a couple of hours yesterday before the conference started.
Tell ya what, I was pretty darn close!
Yet, the official model does meet a lot of expectations.
I'm still not too keen on the new path that this DSi is going though.
But now I realized the official model does make sense:
2 LCD screens call for 2 cameras..

I may have to re-edit my design even further to fit my liking.

it's nice work, to be sure, but i'm not sure you can credibly claim this was done before the official DSi was announced, considering the date/time stamps of the thread here and the posting on DA. plus, considering the name was spot-on with your comp, as well as other similar features; it's just too coincidental. either it was done with enough info (like the name and feature list), or it was done during the conference.

again, not trying to buzzkill or anything, just saying the psychic prediction bit seems a jagged pill to swallow. but nice work on the design itself!

I've posted at other places before I posted here. The first place I posted was simultaneously in the GoNin IRC chat and at WiiFuse. And by then, the conference has already ended as we all were still soaking up all the info.
Actually, this was inspired by and based on the latest speculations 'confirmed' by Nikkei as well as adding some of my own that I've been holding for long while (esp. the swivel and the buttons 1 and 2).
For the name, I waited until that exact second when they announced it, then I named it on the spot. But as you can see, the added i didn't turn out as the official one, but rather based on taste.

I'll be making a back, side, and a 3D view of my dream DS model, so that should be coming along soon. \:D/

especially being that you're a fairy with 4 posts, which doesn't make you have much credit on the boards. As for the name... wow.

that being said, i have always been taught to think the best of people-- wait, no i haven't, but i will this time. Your DSi looks very cool, and i would be interested to see the 3D view, whether you copied from the Event or not. It's always cool to see fan created art.
