Well, for what it's worth, I went ahead and tried. The trailer looked absolutely funky, so even if it's not my type of game, I'll give it a whirl I guess. Their status-thingy said they were still open, so here's hoping.

I was worried I wouldn't get it.... one, I accidentally replied to their email telling me to 'let them know when I had finished adding them to my Wii Address Book', but when I did, it gave me another automatic 'you've been entered!' messages... so I kind of worried they'd get annoyed and not give it to me or something.

But mainly, when I turned WC24 back on to receive gifts and stuff like that, my Wii began to lock up again. I did avoid some of the things I know to cause lockups currently(like selecting Channels from Data Manager before using any channels/games/etc), but for the most part it never locked up while I had it off. And then the other day it locked up like 8 times before it got past the 'Press (A) to Continue' screen.

BUT, I did get the message right as I was about to reply to this thread, downloaded it, played it(and then turned off WC24 again), so that's cool at least. I didn't have my external speakers turned on, but it seemed pretty cool. It's just a little on the generic side, but the music and the beat-controls make it a lot better...

i got the free copy and am enjoying it. i haven't been able to find any info on the difference b/t the retail version and the wiiware version though. anyone know?

...there was a retail version of this? Are you sure it's the same game, or was it for a different system/cellphone?

More songs/stages in the retail version, and I think 2 new power-ups.
The retail version got some graphical enhancement as well.
