Fluidity?

Postby aighead » 07 Dec 2010 11:47

Yeah, I just tried out the demo, and seemingly 12 bucks to be well spent. Anyone else and anybody know how many levels there are? I was going to get And yet it moves, but saw that it looked to be short, so I'm hard pressed to spend 10 bucks... I thought the demo was great, but possibly not enough game to it...

What do you guys think, for folks on a budget?

There seems to be TONS of game in Fluidity, with boss battles, and dedicated challenge rooms, and kinda metroid style stuff where you can get to new areas with new abilities.

Also AYIM has quite a bit of game if you attempt a bunch of the achievements. But just the core experience of AYIM is WELL worth $10

But I might not be the best to ask because all my wiiware/vc downloads for the last 15-16 months have been virtually free, and then combine that with the fact that price is almost irrelevant to me if I see a unique and enjoyable experience is to be had

Do you have an existing points balance at the moment?

I really like it so far. Solid controls. And it seems like a bunch of content. Saving fish has never been so much fun.

Looks like we're going to see a 3DS eshop release of Fluidity. Who knows if it's going to be a port or a new game in all, only time will tell.

With a subtitle such as "Spin Cycle", it leads me to believe it's a sequel. Quite interested in this, but I'm not sure if it'll use the 3DS's tilt functions.

I'm still indecisive if I want this from Club Nintendo. Guess I should get off my ass and download the demo. Haha.

Same, I downloaded the demo way back when they started to offer demos and Fludity was one of the first demo that I tried (I think there are too many 'demo' words in that sentence...). I liked it but I don't think I can give 150 coins for it. Plus, WiiWare titles don't really have that much content in them anyways, so I may pass on this one and see what they offer up Monday.

I played the demo and wound up liking it a lot. I mean, if I am gonna get it, Club Nintendo is the way to go, but I haven't decided yet. I gotta look into what other stuff you can do, but the tease video at the end of the demo almost sold me. Ice+Cloud stuff and the whole gaining abilities and stuff (at first I was angsting because the water was going all over the place no matter what).

But yeah, looks pretty good.

Fluidity is a great game, It's just a pity that no one knew it existed.

I wound up getting it.

I actually love it. I don't know how I wrote this off (WATER ACTION GAME, I suppose).

Finished the first Chapter (as in, got as much as I could before doing the 'boss' level and unlocking Chapter 2). Stoked to play more.

Were they just saying something on the podcast about a sequel? I just heard that somewhere but I don't remember where. Should be pretty cool. I still haven't beaten it but it is a lovely game!

Some kind of Fluidity is coming to eShop. It was in the list of upcoming games or something.

Well, it is Metroid-like, and I don't want to get started, but Other M was a damn fine Metroid game aside from the first-person parts. Gameplay-wise.

Yeah, I just wanted to poke some fun at Other M. :P
I liked the game, it had its issues, but that's another story.

And yes, Fluidity: Spin Cycle is a sequel.

Huzzah!

And I am interested to see what they add to Spin Cycle. Could be great or a mess (since rotating the 3DS defeats 3D often).

I've played the demo for Puddle which is seemingly a Fluidity ripoff and while it has some interesting level design it's not nearly up to snuff with Nintendo's level design on Fluidity. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for Spin Cycle as well, though I hope it offers not tilt control and not motion jumping (I think I read somewhere that both are options).
