Swords and Soldiers

Didn't find a thread, so I made one.

This game is simply awesome and fills a definite gap in the wiiware library. The balance between unit production and spellcasting is pitch-perfect. The timing of unit building and upgrading is key. I'm just up to the viking mission where defense towers come into play and I can see how this will be a massively fun 2p game. I just need a couple friends of mine to either buy it or get used to the game by playing my copy.

It's a shame they couldn't fit online into the equation this time around, but I see them continuing this property with a second release using new factions and adding online possibly. If they had to leave online out because of file size restrictions then we would probably need a max file size cap increase from Nintendo after they acknowledge that SD cards can hold MUCH larger games and many will have much more space on their internal memory through SD transfer. However, I don't think that file size was the issue with online, because the game is 150 blocks, and we've gotten games around 300 blocks in the past, right? Regardless of all that, GREAT game. Highly recommended for the single player alone with it's campaign, special challenges and achievements.

also, does anyone know if Ronimo has said anything officially about the possibility of DLC for this game?

I beat all 3 campaigns, yes. Also have been able to beat each of the other two races playing as each race in skirmish mode (normal difficulty), haven't tried hard yet. The turbo speed is a crazy way to play the game (get it after beating all 3 campaigns). One friend of mine got the hang of it playing on my system and we're gonna try a few rounds against eachother in the next couple days.

EASILY worth 10 bucks

true, this game is fantastic. I always recommend it to anyone. The stratagy involed is pretty deep considering the gameplay style. I had first opinions of it that it was just a prettier flash game but after playing the missions im hooked.

im also stuck on the last Aztec mission, frikkin hard!

my co-worker likes this game as well so sometimes I bring my Wii to work and well play a few rounds.

Aswell as proclaiming I AM CATMAN!

doesn't have online dueling, which is really my only gripe, and the element that they said is first on the list of the potential sequel.

the 2 player horizontally divided spilt screen is awesome though, as long as you have some gamer friends. I played an EPIC 55 min battle as the Aztecs against my buddy playing as the Chinese. We were on the large map, middle choice (some forks in the path). Once I finally got my massive zombie army together with a massive horde of pea-shooters I timely sacrificed tons of full-health zombies toward the back of the group to quickly get enough mana for a boulder, and that was it.
