I'm sure RMC will share what is going on pretty soon, but I'm a bit worried about him and the site. This definitely seems to be a major issue, and I hope he can deal with whatever it is. Anybody want to speculate about what this could be about?

I'll support RMC and the site until the very end, and I'm sure many others will do the same. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

Whatever the problems may be I hope RMC is ok. I love this site, and appreciate all the hard work that's put into it. I really can't say much else about the situation unless I knew more. Hopefully we'll be finding out tonight.

aside from the emotional distress, i think with the great support from all the readers and fans, things will work out.

GN isn't big, isn't small, but it does seem to be something that people need. We'll keep on as much as we can.

I'll let RMC dole out the details if/when he's able to.

yea, I've been coming here off and on since near the beginning. Probably my favorite gaming site for a myriad of reasons. I'm not letting it go without a fight.

I certainly wouldn't say that the site is FREE of jerks and trolls. They exist, and they're quite annoying. Thankfully, that's what "add foe" is for. So you can ignore morons when you need to.


In all seriousness, I hope everything is okay. I know what it's like to get royally screwed over in a business dealing, so I sympathize. RMC probably shouldn't have said anything, certainly not "I'll tell you guys tonight" over and over, until he was absolutely sure he could actually say anything. Not his fault really, but it probably would have been best to just keep it out of view until he could REALLY talk about it. Hope things work out, because, while certainly not perfect, I have more often than not enjoyed coming to this site, and it's a great source of Nintendo news most days.

I'd hate to see it go bye bye. So keep that beard up man. Punch whoever you need to in the face, and then get back to us on it.

From what little he has said, I don't get the feeling that GoNintendo is "in trouble", as in the site is gonna go bye bye. But I do get the feeling that s***'s gonna be a lot harder for RMC himself somehow. Which sucks.

He apparently had to ditch the "Nintendo" portion of the site name forever, and was ordered to be more serious and respectful when talking about Pokemon. And in this dream, I believed it, and thought this was so devastating for the website....

Damn, sounds serious I really hope everything is ok. I know RMC pours a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the site, and it really shows. It's my favorite site on the whole internet.

Actually, that was just because one person at NCL didn't like it, and was blocking our access to events, coverage, etc unless we revised the logo to be without that pill/racetrack shape.

Basically, GoNintendo got hacked before E3 and had their adds replaced. The hacker put in his own adds and it was so discrete no one even noticed until well after E3 was over. Thus, RMC and his new advertising partners both lost a lot of money. They are still trying to find out who exactly it was who caused all this. RMC also thanked everyone for their kind words, but doesn't want any of our money. I really respect how he handled all of this and hope things of this nature never happen again. Keep up the great work RMC! ^_^
