I love this. It works very nice and doesn't intrude with my experience in Google Chrome. Thank you.

(I especially like the Omnibar support. It makes getting to certain pages very easy compared to before.)

I'm a Chrome user (FireFox = resourse eater-upper), and this sounds like a really nice thing to have.

Some suggestions:

    Ability to change checking time
Check for all stories instead of just top stories
Fix the options spelling where it reads "Message Baords"
Clean up the button a little bit, something just looks off about it

Possible bugs:
The sounds don't work for me (at least the preview button doesn't)

Looking great for a 1.0.0 release! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback SuperBlooper057. I'm about to push an update out now with the spelling fix and cort is making new button images for it. It'll also include the ability to adjust the checking time.

I'm debating on having it look for new posts in general instead of just top stories. Not sure if that's a path I want to go down yet. Maybe later.

Not sure what to say about your sound issue. Are you using Google Chrome or Chromium? The sounds are MP3s and I know Chromium doesn't support MP3s out of the box.

Awesome. Are there any plans for extension for other browsers, though? Chrome is good and all, but not everyone uses it. Personally, I use Safari, and I'd love to see a Safari extension. And I'm sure Firefox and Opera users would love add-ons for them, too.

EDIT: Not trying to sound rude or unappreciative or anything, I'm just interested to know if there are any plans for other browsers. The Chrome extension sounds great, I'll have to check it out some time.

I'm using Iron, which is a derivative of Chromium. I've always been able to stream mp3's from other sources (local and streaming) and never had any issues. As for new posts, let me refine my previous statement: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Also, at the time of this writing (21:41 GN time) the Web Store hasn't been updated, but I'm guessing that's on Google's end. Got updated as soon as I posted this. Weird.

I know I practically never get involved with the community, bhut I've been an avid reader for many years. Please excuse me if my wants come off as picky or needy.

EDIT: Okay, I know that this is really really picky, but the Genre label for coin, jump, mushroom, and pipe are all "Other" while the rest are blank. Just an observation.

As of now, I don't have plans on making a FireFox extension. This was more of a pet project for me as to how to make a decent Chrome extension (and Chrome is my main browser). If I don't get around to poking around in the FireFox API, I'd be more than happy to share the function I use to check for site updates to a FireFox Extension dev.

Nope, not at all. Valid request. I'll consider it down the road maybe for a future update. Right now I want to make sure the features I have work well enough.

I'll see if I can dig into your sound issue. Seems odd. The extension uses standard HTML5 audio functions that anything Chrome-based should be able to use just fine.

Okay, that's cool. Same deal for Safari, then?

I see. Well to be completely honest with you, *if* I do make another extension it'll be for Firefox. But like I said, I'd be more than happy to share the data source on where this extension gets its information from to others.

When the notifications comes in, it only plays the later part of the sound.

Noted. Thank you. I've been tied up with this other side project for a while now. Hopefully I can get back in on this sooner rather than later.

Alrighty, I am knee deep in other side projects right now. So I figured it might be nice to post the extension code up on GitHub and let others see and submit code to help improve the extension if they want since I can't work on it right now.

Github link added in OP.
