Almost have beaten Super Mario 3d Land completely. I've beaten every level
Spoiler:
including the Special World
and I almost beat every level with Mario
Spoiler:
and Luigi
I'm also very close to gold-flagging every level and collecting all medals in every level.

Currently playing my DSiWare Set 4:
*Spotto!
*Aura-Aura Climber
*Link 'n' Launch
*X-Scape
*Game & Watch: Mario's Cement Factory
And with that, I've been left with 100 leftover points on the DSi Shop, still need to finish some games from Set 2 (A Kappa's Trail) and Set 3 (Snapdots, Face Pilot), along with Sonic Chronicles and the DS Advance Wars.

Saw Gamestop listing some of the OLD Nintendo 3DS games for 20 bucks, so I got Pilot Wings Resort. Only played a few minutes, still don't like the likely-realistic-but-uninteresting lack of 3D, but honestly it probably IS more realistic that way. It just feels like I'm playing in a paper diorama, though. Wish I could have picked up Steel Diver too, but if Wario is out next week or the week after, I'd rather make sure I have the funds for that instead.

Steam sale is going to result in a whole lot of new games purchased, and a whole lot needing to be played. Think the next game on the list (besides Spiral Knights) will be Meat Boy.

I got Final Fantasy III for DS for about 10 bucks. Not bad. So I'm gonna play FF III for now. I also need to get back to playing Xenoblade.

EDIT - Picked up Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters for 3DS VC and I'm now playing that along with FF III DS.

Just finished off Metroid II for the first time. 4 hours/59 minutes. All items but two Missile Expansions. I knew where one was but was too lazy to backtrack.

Beat Mario vs. DK Minis March Again, but still have to do Plus World, Basement, and Roof levels. I have like 51 Gold Stars or something so far. Unlocked Mini Toad/Peach.

Playing through OoT3D. At the Spirit Temple, have 97 Skulltulas and 19 Hearts, Biggoron's Sword, the Cow, all upgrades so far and so on. Will be playing Master Quest afterwards.

Also still playing Mighty Switch Force, which I got stuck on Incident 15. And I just got/started Spotto! (got to Level 25 I think).

I really need to get back into OoT3D, I stopped just when I finished watching the Sheik/Well/Windmill scene and haven't gone back yet. Time for gaming has been short, and full-on 'gamer's games' just take too much time if I really want to settle down with something like that.

"Rebought" Retro Game Challenge, although I've already blown through all the way to Gaudia Quest. For some reason RGC felt like a lot longer game back then, but then I also realized cheats are usually allowed for most challenges, so boring repeat games like Rally King SP got the cheating-treatment.

I'm close to getting Petit Computer, but I feel like it's a "game" that really needs a lot of people playing/making things to make it worth it, and so far it seems to have fallen by the wayside. It IS DSiWare after all... kind of wish they'd skipped to PC-2 or just waited to make a new game specifically for eShop, but oh well. Also unsure if I can get the hang of BASIC in a time-frame that would allow me to make something without taking so long that something better might come along, like PC-2, a possible ePC, or ...make an actual BASIC or Android game using free SDKs. *shrug*

Beat Super Mario 64 with only 59 stars (using this). I have no inclination to go back and finish the game for real. It dissapointed me, to be honest. The controls were very hard for me to grasp, and the levels were not as deep as I expected them to be. The final boss fight was probably the worst final boss fight in any game I ever played too. The music was awful, and the fight was the exact same as every other fight, just with more health for the boss. A good game, but only an average Mario game to me.

Now I'm playing Donkey Kong 64 and trying to get everything. I know I'll never do it though (this game holds the world record for most collectible items in a platformer  )

So I finished OoT3D, except for catching the Loach. Still need to play Master Quest, but I am going to finish some other stuff first.

Played 3 of the Bonus Stages in Mighty Switch Force, completed Story Mode in Spotto! (working on Story Mode PRO! now), and I am on 2-3+ in the Plus World in Mario vs. DK Minis March Again! with 60 Gold Stars (and I beat up to R-6 on the Roof and I beat the first two Basement levels. Unlocked B-3 and B-4, but haven't played them yet).

I am also juggling RAYMAN on PS1 in the mix again. I had played the game AGES ago, but I never owned it and a month ago, I bought it for like $5. I own Rayman 2 & Rayman 3 on PS2 (thanks to a deal at Gamestop when all I really wanted was Spy Fiction, but I figured why not?), but I didn't want to play them until I played through the original, even if it was irrelevant. According to the game, I am 45% through it (or have 45% stuff, I have no idea) and I just beat Space Mama, so I think I am in the second to last world.

Ahhhh man. Sunshine is one of my favorite games. I remember getting all the Shines and thinking I was the coolest **** in town for actually bothering to do it. And I did it over the course of a month (I think it took 20 days). I literally played that game almost non-stop.

Some of the Shine Sprites are hard as hell to get though.

Did you play on the N64? I agree that the bosses were lame, but I liked some of the music, haha. And the only controls I hated were the camera controls (and with the exception of Sunshine, I've hated the controls for the camera in all the 3D console Marios, since they are restricted). The levels aren't that deep, but I enjoyed them. I enjoyed Sunshine's and both Galaxy games' way more, but still enjoyed them.

I think the game is a "had to have been there" kind of game to full enjoy it like it was an amazing game. For example, I didn't play it until well after Super Mario Sunshine, so while I enjoyed not having FLUDD all the time, I still preferred Sunshine to SM64. I also made the effort to get all 120 Stars in that.

Yea, I played the N64 version. And when I said the music was horrible, I was only talking about the music in the final boss fight. I liked the other music.

Don't forget the ever popular Red Coins on Poison River special course that you need to do a long tedious sequence of hauling Yoshi to an island to unlock the way (and if Yoshi hits water, you gotta start all over  ) so that you can use FLUDD to drive a leaf down poisonous waters (and the poison water seeps through the leaf) to collect 8 Red Coins without falling out of the course or touching the water (both are instant kills). :banghead:

Anyways Wario Land: SML 3 just came out on 3DS VC, so I'm playing that and Final Fantasy III DS right now. Everything else is on the backburner.

Haha yeah I attempted that shine earlier today, not much in the way of luck though! Got about 5 of the 8 red coins. I did beat the pachinko level though, it went pretty well actually, its really all about timing with the hover nozzle. I'm sure you can do it with the rocket nozzle, but its so much harder.

And, man, seeing people talk about Wario Land makes me envious. I sadly can't spare the $20 to get a 3DS points card atm, but someday I'll pick it up. :3

1.I finished 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. It was really short game but it was expected.
2. Last week I downloaded Starship Defense and currently at sector 20.
3. Finishing up the Bonus Challenges at Pushmo.
4. On world 3-4 in Mario VS Donkey Kong

That is pretty much it. After finishing xenoblade 3 weeks ago, I hardly been playing much. I might get Pikmin 2 soon and play that. Also I hope tomorrow NA gets a good game to download for the 3ds so I can have another game to play =).

Playing Metroid Prime Hunters and I just got my Sin & Punishment: Star Successor ($5.40 from BestBuy during that sale).

Played the first stages as Isa in S&P2.

In Hunters, I have 5 Missile Tanks and Energy Tanks, 7 UA Tanks, 5 Octoliths and 38% scans because for some reason it didn't occur to me to use it during boss/rival fights, so I missed a lot of scans. I won't have 100% when I beat it. Boo.

That's all I've played recently. And I am almost done with Find Mii the 2nd time. Just whittling away at the final boss, then I will move on to Find Mii 2.

dkanddiddy wrote:Yea, I played the N64 version. And when I said the music was horrible, I was only talking about the music in the final boss fight. I liked the other music.

Oh. Then yes. The bosses and boss music was not that good at all.

I don't know how I did it, but when I was playing the game the first time, I at some point messed up and wound up off of my leaf (forget if on purpose because I missed one, or by accident...) and on the edge of the stage (the boundary thing). I wound up running all the way back up to the top of the stage and got whatever coin I missed or something. I can't remember the exact details, but I know I walked back up that level.

rockmankun wrote:1.I finished 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. It was really short game but it was expected.

Someone explain to me what I am missing about Kid Icarus NES. I have it on VC and I simply cannot figure out how to do well in that game at all.

I have gotten to the first dungeon thing before, but I had like no Mallets and I wasn't leveled up or anything, I just ran through the stages. I couldn't beat the boss. So I had to start over, and I haven't made it back since then.

I also didn't know you could level up or get special crap until very recently. I tried farming EXP from an enemy somewhere near the top of 1-1, but I died because they kept spawning ontop of me.

I just got Mega Man ZX, and since overall it's my first Mega Man, I'm expecting good things, well, coming from a company that forgets its franchises other than Street Fighter and Resident Evil and now endorses to hell on-disc DLC, anyway.

Still working on Super Mario Sunshine. Only have to gather Blue Coins and beat Bowser then I've 100%'d Sunshine. Been a blast going through this game again and getting 100% finally. Haha. Also did get KH3D MoME since I had that pre-ordered. Haven't done much in it yet, been trying to get it to scan the AR Card but it doesn't seem to work. I've no idea what to do with that. Its not something that'd stop me from enjoying the game mind, but its just a tad annoying is all. lol.
