Your thoughts on the Resident Evil Movies

I recently watched the 1st and 4th (Afterlife) Resident Evil movies. By no stretch are these great movies but I did think they were entertaining. I personally like the 4th much better then the 1st. What do my fellow gonintendoers think of these movies? They are definitely not Mortal Kombat or Streetfighter bad.

I've only seen one (and I can't even remember which one) but I thought it was fun. Not particularly amazing, and evidently not very memorable, but I remember it being better than most game to film adaptations. I think because Resident Evil as a series never really took itself too seriously anyway the conversions were never going to really offend anyone. I mean an awful script and terrible acting would have probably just made it even more canon.

To be honest, I think they're all bad. Even the one that Capcom made was pretty bad. I'd pick Mortal Kombat (Part 1 only) over any of the RE movies any day. I've always thought that the RE franchise had a better story than Mortal Kombat, though.

As already said, i think the movies are very entertaining, but not at all 'Great'. ^3^

They really should make a Movie of Resident Evil 4~
