It is or was available on Starz and was as bad as it looked. The guy who wrote it also directed it and animated it all by himself, but that does not excuse the acting and terrible gamer stereotypes. On the website which can be found here http://www.thecontrollerthemovie.com/ it says:
"It should be noted that during Pre-Production several key Corporate Placements were obtained and displayed throughout the shoot including XBOX, MOUNTAIN DEW, FRITO-LAY, DUKE UNIVERSITY, ULTIMATE GAME CHAIR AND RX2 MEDIA CHAIR. These placements provided THE CONTROLLER with the real life feel ~ game characters gaming with "supplies" and products that would actually be used in today's gaming society." It also says: "This groundbreaking motion picture creates a new synergy between the motion picture / videogame entertainment relationship." Worth noting is that is was all written by the director.
