I've been getting messages from my friends on XBL and over IM's that the new MLG playlist in Halo 3 is really something special. Having given up on Halo 3 and the silliness that happens over XBL with it, I'm now doing some semipro things with MLG in Gears of War, and I finally caved in last night and threw H3 in my 360 after a couple of months of dust-collecting.
It's amazing. The gametype is what H3 should have been from the very beginning. It's balanced, well-made, fewer weapons on the map and more strategy involved therein, and it's....I dunno. It gives me faith in Halo again.
Basically, they made everyone 10% faster and do 10% more damage, added boxes and barrels in appropriate places on certain maps to make it feel like the maps are smaller, jumps easier, and it's not so hard to get out of the flag areas on The Pit now.
Anyone else tried this playlist out yet?
