Pokemon Gamestop Events

So i went to gamestop today for the shiny Pichu event on Pokemon D/P and I met a really cool employee. She was talking to me and my friends about the shiny pichu and we all preordered our heart gold soul silver game, then something amazing happened. I don't know if this has been reported anywhere else (if so, this might be old news) but she said after the shiny pichu event ends on the 14th, they will have a super secret pokemon event for download. She said she wasn't supposed to tell us, but she did anyway. It is a Jirachi event! She was being serious. I am so excited!!

So what do you guys think? (yeah, I was just as surprised to find a gamestop employee enjoying their job)

[edit] Just found out this story was already on GoNintendo. How lame am I? lol. It would be cool if we had a topic dedicated to pokemon mystery gift events though.

Well if it makes you feel any better this is the first I've heard of it.

I've never been to any Pokemon events tbh. They must do them over here (probably in GAME or somewhere) but I've just never heard of any, at least not BEFORE they've happened anyway lol.

my 1-on-1 event a few weeks ago at NOA for HG/SS, the guy mentioned that while there aren't really any new pokemon in the games, that gamestop would be having a special exclusive that would also have a tie-in or allow access to another special/rare pokemon (possibly in the hg/ss game, i dunno exactly how it works). but since i don't really know jack about the series as a whole and it didn't seem totally related to the topic at hand, it didn't make enough sense for me to try and write about it and butcher the information and possibly get peoples' hopes up falsely or otherwise misinform them.

but bully to those who groove on this kind of thing enjoy!

If you don't know what the name of the event is called, it's right here:
Night Sky's Edge Jirachi.
I read about it 3 days ago on Bulbapedia. Hopefully I can get both events (Pikachu-Colored Pichu/Night Sky's Edge Jirachi) for my future Pokémon HeartGold.

P.S. By the way, if you get it into Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, then trade it to HeartGold/SoulSilver, then put it in the Pokéwalker, it unlocks a place called Night Sky's Edge, hence the name of the event. One more piece of information: it knows Draco Meteor and it holds a Leichi berry, and it's Lv. 5.

Yes, the shiny pichu (or Pikachu-colored-Pichu) and Jirachi that are being given will unlock special events in HG/SS. As for the rest, I'll ignore it to not get anyone's hopes up of uncovering something...

I spend most of my time at college, where I don't have access to a car or DS-compatible wireless internet. I can't take part in a lot of the special events or downloads, and I always read up on them and think "Shoot!"

I'm very happy that I will be able to attend the special Jirachi event when I come home. And soon after, my Heart Gold will arrive. Spring is a time to CATCH 'EM ALL!

remember everyone, the Jirachi event starts today at gamestop. I drove to gamestop this morning and got it. Woooo! This event only goes to March 13th, so hurry and get it.

Gahhh, I'm not so bothered about them not giving us the Jirachi event in the UK, seeing as I have one sitting in Pokémon Channel waiting to be transferred, but I'll be seriously raging if we don't get the Celebi event, it's one of the few Pokémon I need to have them all now!
