The GoNintendo Cup Community is pretty empty... I found one guy, and he wasn't all that good O.O RMC and others should set up a raceoff this weekend

was it me? I was terribad up in a race a bit ago.

Well, if you played against a guy named "BStrkr123" who used a Shy Guy in DK Jungle, then yup, it probably was me I just wish more people joined; playing one-on-one doesn't have as much excitement as say an 8-player race. It makes me wonder why no one races in the GN community, while over at 3DSblog, they have 8 races going at a time :/

also, why is everyone online much faster than me. even with boost pads and mushrooms I can't keep up with people.

You should be collecting coins as you go, since the more you've got the faster you'll go.

Anyone have any races that came down to the last millisecond, any type of race? Playing the mushroom cup 150cc, Daisy Hill, and boy did I barely win. Coming up on the finish line, lead CPU about to win, then I come from behind to cross at the last possible moment. Man, it looked like a photo finish. Had to watch again to see how awesome it looked.

People need to show more pride for GoNintendo by racing on this community. -_- Its usually empty but I'll at least try to help change that. Since I'm usually online, I'll try to wait whenever I can in this community for players. That way you'll have me as one of many possible opponents.

Well I'm now a 1-star racer. Got 3 stars in the 50 and 100cc GPs. Gonna work towards becoming a 2-star racer next.

Wow someone on the GN community using the Wuhu loop 2 glitch to get halfway across the map. For shame "JusDBerube"

Can 3DS games be patched? If so, is Nintendo aware of this? I was just playing online for a while and there's always one or two jerks who always pick Maka Wuhu. And of course, they go for this glitch. It's kinda ruining the game for me.

I'll join the community. To be honest, between Zelda, the new 3DS firmware update, and playing single player, local multiplayer, and worldwide online vs. races in MK7, I haven't had time to explore the communities feature yet. But I'm excited to!

I was wondering that too, I noticed only 1 or 2 people online at a time and have thought about looking for some friend codes

Agreed. Where is everyone? I want to race more ppl and have my ass kicked. The ppl I raced in the IGN community were no challenge what so ever.

That's most likely lag. The only real cheat is doing the glitch on Maka Wuhu. I say anyone who does that should be banned forever!

This is not the case at all. Finishing in first, staying in first for a long time, and your overall time are the 3 biggest factors that are considered. Of course, these usually correspond to high point standings like 40 points... Even then, I have gotten 1st in all 4 races for 40 points and only gotten 2 stars before. It was because I wasn't in first place for long enough, or some other thing I'm not aware of.

How to unlock gold parts, in case this was not posted yet:

Golden Glider: 10,000 coins OR 100 street pass hits

Golden Wheels: 15,000 coins OR 1 star rank in all cups

Golden Kart: 20,000 coins OR 10,000VR rank online

Golden Steering Wheel: 100 races using gyro-controls for 80% of the time (lost once 20 races are played without gyro controls)

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed when I found out the stats are almost identical to standard kart, slick tires, and super glider. However, it is more for bragging rights than anything; at least they look cool. ^_^

I've had the game for a little over a week now. I've never once seen anyone playing online in the GoNintendo community. This goes for communities of other forums I post on too. Why is this feature neglected?
