What do you think of it? I wasn't too interested (too many other DS games to buy) but I just saw an ad on TV that successfully promoted my interest to 'on the fence' status.

I'm enjoying it very much so.

I've nearly completed it as well (Sand Temple) the dungeons have been a lot of fun, but the train aspect is a bit dull.

wgoa. a zelda game being advertised on television? i must be confused, but...are they marketing a non-mario nintendo game well? (if i still had a DS) i'd be sort of on-the-fence about this too. i think mainly because phantom hourglass just didn't really do anything for me.

I just got the game and started playing today, so please no spoilers. At the very least, just tell me that these questions will be answered.

1.) 100 years? I find that doubtful. Niko would be easily 120, since in Windwaker he is older then the original Link. The original Link was between the ages of 11-16 (11, I believe is the age of the hero).

2.) Where in the heck is it taken place. I remember well the ending of Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass. The ending of Windwaker
Spoiler:
The king wishes for the old Hyrule to be flooded, and Link and Tetra leave outset to find the new Hyrule.
.
And in the ending of Phantom Hourglass
Spoiler:
No progress was made! They got trapped in some dimension that took 5 minutes or so from the original.

3.) Does the game talk about any of that? I hope to get some answers! Phantom Hourglass, didn't give me a lot of answers, thus, it wasn't nearly as good as Wind Waker (Still my favorite LoZ).

Thanks.

You have to make sure you play your portion three times correctly during the duet for them to accept the performance. Luckily, though, there is the generous 'practice' portion. (Though I will admit he drove me bonkers as well)

Yes I no all that and I know I've got it rights 3 times at least once(yes I tried practice)
you think it'd let me pass after all I done it perfect at least once like I said I wish I could upload videos so people would believe me that I have done it perfectly.
the game's just being picky.

1. Yes, it is true the game seems to take place nearly a century after the events of PH. Although this may contradict the fact that Niko's still alive...it's a game...and Nintendo wanted him there. he makes plenty of refrences to their "ancestors" who first arrived at the island and you can only assume that it was started by Link and Tetra (Zelda) It would take years for the land to develop into what it is now so you can only assume that a century has gone by.

2. We assume that this hyrule is the new one Link and Zelda sought to find. Again, their are plenty of hints throughout the game that points to this fact. Plus...Niko's there...so....

3. The only answers you'll recieve (keep in mind that i am at the ending of the game right now...i haven't finished it yet, so it is likely that some answers are still to come) are clues as to what Link and Tetra did after PH and how the new Hyrule came to be.

I've been playing ST since Christmas and I'm working toward the end of the game.

Phantom Trains are very annoying. I've been caught and game over'd by them twice (both ironically coming out the Tower of the Spirits in the Forest Realm). -_-;;

I hated Phantom Hourglass. Too repetitive and very boring. Spirt Tracks is amazing! The train is awesome, the gameplay is great. And tons of collecting and side-quests to do when you're finished. Best DS game maybe?

I didn't hate PH, but I definitely enjoyed Spirit Tracks much more. Surprisingly (to me at least) the train traveling never got old or repetitive. And yes, the side-quests were really fun, too. While I can't necessarily say it is my favorite DS game (too many good ones to choose from!), it is definitely in the running for my favorite Zelda game.

I got it for Christmas and have beaten it 100%. I don't know for sure, but I would estimate that I put a good 30-35 hours into it. And I would definitely pick it up and play it again.

Bah, two more Game Overs since my last posting.

I got caught a third time by a Phantom Train coming out the Tower of Spirits in the Forest Realm. The fourth was due to

Having completed this recently, I can say this is my favorite portable Zelda aside from Link's Awakening.

Well-written dialogue, excellent music, actual challenging difficulty, and some control improvements really put this above and beyond Phantom Hourglass.

And the whip is easily my favorite weapon yet.

I was really close to finishing this, but that last visit to the spirit dungeon has really thrown me off. It just hasn't made me want to go back and complete it to move on, so I've basically ignored it for the time being.

The final visit to the spirit tower to retrieve the

and everything thereafter is especially brilliant and epic. Overall the game has some of the finest dungeon/puzzle design that the series has seen in a while, but that section toward the end is just fantastic. The entrance to and various stages within the

were perfectly paced, varied, and challenging. Also

the final spirit song played by all of the lokomos and link and zelda
was truly beautiful.

Much <3 for this game. Fav Zelda title since Wind Waker
