Street Pass Mii Plaza is the 3DS' iteration on the Wii's Mii Plaza. Here, Miis from Street Passes (local communication) and Spot Passes (wi-fi communication) will hang out. Here, you can either send them over to your Mii Maker for personal storage, or you can some of them for Find Mii, the app's RPG game. In addition, you can get new Puzzle Pieces and Panels from them to help continue playing your 3DS. In addition to that, you can view Accomplishments based on how many Street Passes you've earned, view your completed Panels, and change the music playing in the background.

Puzzle Swap
Here, you can get Puzzle Pieces from Miis you've met over Street Pass. This is the best way to unlock new Panels, and you can even get them from Store Demo Units, even though most of them aren't up to date. You can get 1 new Puzzle Piece per day from an individual Mii. New Puzzles were introduced in December 2011 to compliment the original 7 Puzzles, and February 2012, Nintendo notified users that new Puzzles can be sent out over Spot Pass. Newer Puzzles include Purple Pieces, which can only be gotten randomly from Spot Pass when new Puzzles were sent out, or via Street Pass. Newer Puzzles also increased in size from the originals, which were 15, to 24, with 4 Purple Pieces or 40 with 8 Purple Pieces. These newer ones were distributed via Spot Pass, and vary depending on your location when downloading.

Find Mii & Find Mii 2
Find Mii is an RPG where you are tasked with rescuing the King from an unknown evil. Here, you must use Miis you've gathered via Street Pass, or ones you've bought via Play Coins. Street Passed Miis can go up to Level 7 while Wandering Heroes (ones you pay for) only go up to Level 2. Each Mii has a different type of magic attack as well, depending on the color of shirt it's wearing. You battle through various levels, some of which require Magic in order to progress, and beating certain levels gives you a snazzy new hat to on your Mii in Mii Plaza, so people you've Street Passed with can see it. In December 2011, Nintendo introduced Find Mii 2, a newer, harder version of Find Mii, which has more paths, secret quests, requires more magic, allows tag teams, allows you to re-hire Miis, and rewards you with more hats!

A couple of people the in the IRC have, but they're really hard to come by. I imagine getting them at Conventions, the upcoming Zelda concerts (I'm going to the one in Atlanta) and highly populated areas will help.

And yes, by '12, I mean 2012. Just like by '11, I mean 2011.

I've got a purple piece for Ocarina of Time 3D, one for Star Fox 64 3D, and one for Mario Kart 7. My brother has all of the mentioned plus a purple one for Kid Icarus Uprising he got today - I'm still waiting for my 3DS to hit his again.

I'm also done with the first seven puzzles, have the DKCR puzzle but no purples for it, have completed Find Mii twice, Find Mii 2 twice and at the Dark Lord for the third time, and Find Mii 2-S once.

I hate purple pieces. I have the Zelda oot, Star Fox 64, and Kid Icarus puzzles, but not a single purple piece for any of them. I have never streetpassed anybody with any of them either. I don't even really know how it's possible to get any of them, if you get them through streetpass then how do the people you are supposed to be getting them from get them in the first place? I have just accepted the fact that I will never complete those puzzles. I think I've probably only managed to streetpass about 30 different people since the 3DS came out (it's hard to tell now that they just throw in all the people from games you play online, I wish they put them in different categories.)

Where are you? There are a ton of purple pieces in my general area.

And the idea is that they're supposed to spread around the country, kind of like a 3DS-borne disease that gives you a picture. The first people who got them got them randomly on the day the first piece was given out, or otherwise from Nintendo employees who'd have them all. You get them from other people, and then you travel around and give them to other people. Eventually, given an infinite amount of time and a finite amount of people, everyone has them. That's how it works.

It's only been like two and a half months. Give it a bit more time. By the year's end they'll be common.

I met someone recently while in Indianapolis for a drumline competition that had every single piece...it was crazy!! They helped me out, and I've since passed the piece I got onto others at my school. I love the concept of the purple pieces, it'll just take some time for them to become more widespread!

I have 15/40 pieces of the Kid Icarus Puzzle now. No Purple Pieces. I really think my area is solid anti-Nintendo. What also sucks is that Store Demo Units now changed Demos to Mario Kart 7, and the rest of the system's functions are locked. Now I have to brush up on that old exploit.

I live in Indiana in a pretty rural area. The only time I ever get streetpasses is when I go to the mall in Indianapolis. I actually don't think I've got a single one in my town. Well besides from my son who i get 2 a day from, which doesn't do me any good on the puzzles since he is missing all the purple pieces as well (I've been blowing through Find Mii II without having to use play coins though.) I still carry it around hoping someday I might get one though, but four on the same puzzle seems pretty much out of the question.

Well, Conventions and such are bound to help out. Is Gen Con still in Indiana every summer? I suggest at least going there one day for Street Passes. Another good way is the Zelda Concerts. I'm going to one and I plan on getting at least 50 Street Passes when I go, maybe more.

Yeah, Gen Con is in the beginning of August, I didn't get to go last year, hopefully I will make it this year. I don't think the Zelda concert is coming anywhere around here, but I'm sure that will be awesome for streetpasses. I thought about going to the Super Bowl village to try to get some, but I didn't end up going. I did get like 10 in one day when the mall was packed around christmas time which was really awesome, it more than doubled my streetpasses for the rest of the year.

I finally got my Kid Icarus Uprising piece. I also rarely get any around town, but luckily 2 girls at gamestop in the mall always have theirs with them so almost every time I go I get at least one new piece or a new puzzle. But sadly no one from out of MN or ND regions.

First and foremost, I beat Find Mii 2 yesterday, and I'm now going through the Upper Path of the Secret Quest.

Secondly, I got a new Puzzle: Ocarina of Time 3D, my second new one of the new batch. I found someone at Gamestop who had a 3DS, so now I can get more Puzzles hopefully since that person had another 24-piece puzzle (so either DKCR, RHF or SF64)

I'm almost through my 3rd time on Find Mii 2, I'm in the room right before the one that had a lock on it. I have all the first set of puzzles, but am missing one piece on 3 of them. I also have the Star Fox, Zelda OoT, and Kid Icarus puzzles, which I have little hope of ever completing because of the purple pieces. I can't believe there isn't a Pokemon puzzle since it's their most popular handheld game.

I got another new puzzle while on vacation today: Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Thank you, random Gamestop employee.

It also seems to me that most people I run into don't use Play Coins on Puzzle Swap pieces.
