Will you be going digital for select games?

Whats better then one screen? Well two screens of course! Current-gen portables inside: DS, Lite, DSi, DSXL, 3DS...

But on 3DS, and presumably Wii U, there are ways to get around that. You can lie about where you live in the eShop.

Awww, Why didn't I think of that? I wonder if I can change it now...?

Probably. It'd be like if you moved. Most people seem to use Delaware.

I wonder if Nintendo is like "Man, an awful lot of people live in Delaware apparently, or moved there...".

Well, I live in Delaware now  . Wish I would have done this before I bought $60 worth of eshop games though.

What I'll probably do now is buy three $20 eshop cards and buy NSMB2 on the eshop with my 3ds XL. That way, I'll have NSMB2, and $20 for any future Virtual Console games.

I live in DE, so I'm glad I dodged that whole situation lol

And to answer the whole "will you go digital" situation, I will only do so for digital only releases. I will not buy actual retail games via the eshop until Nintendo gives us an account based system where I could easily download all of my games on another 3DS in the event my 3DS gets stolen/lost/broken.

New Hampshire doesn't have taxes AT ALL. Not in retail either. It's earned the name "Tax-Free New Hampshire!" with it's motto "Live Free or Die". Of course, no one knows what New Hampshire is or where it's located.

Except, there are taxes on food.. Just not the materialistic things.. Like clothing, toys, electronics, etc.

I miss living there but only for that reason. I'm back in Florida and the taxes aren't too too bad. I'm just glad digital items aren't taxed. Same thing goes for online shopping on Amazon and NewEgg- no tax.

I like the idea of digital downloads it`s more convenient and you don't have to waste gas, however i prefer to have the physical game, but if it`s a good game that i really want and can't head out to the store then i`ll probably download it

Just saw the price of NSMB 2 in Europe... man it's more expensive than in retail...
If this happens in the USA it's gonna be a big fail.
3 basis steps to improves nintendo´s activities:

- Iwata should be take off from the presidency;
- Reggie should be put in some place out of NOA's presidency;
-Miyamoto should take a slap of sense to start caring again for the hardcore gamers.

I changed my stance on NSMB2, I am going digital. I need those 100 CN coins for the gold nunchuck.
But that's it!! I am retail as always, from here on out!

that's because neither Amazon or NewEgg have physical presences in florida. thus they don't have to pay sales tax to florida.

/ex florida resident. so happy about the ex part.

Probably not, I like buying physical copies of video games.

And certainly not for the prices Nintendo are selling digital versions of their games at. If it's the same price to buy it digitally as it is to buy a boxed copy, why do the former?

No! Unless it's a small game that's just there for a bit of fun. Not a full fledged experience.

I love my boxes and Instruction books. And we already had a casualty. RIP Pretty Instruction Books. T_T

Me too. Anyways i do digital downloads for smaller games because it's harder to find them in stores.
Something like Radiant historia or Dragon Quest v would be a perfect game to get digitally as retail is quite rare
My favorite zelda game is Twilight Princess and Jirachi is my favorite pokemon <3 skype:SSBBKING

I'm spoiled by my iPad & iPhone, so all I want is digital. I'll need a larger SD card some time soon, but I'm never buying a physical copy again.

I'd do it for some of the older games. Case-in-point, I *really* don't want Nintendogs, but come on, that's a game you WANT in your system at all times if you're serious about it. You don't want to have a daily-play game that you need to constantly swap in and out while you play other games. But it'd also be nice to have some of the older games at a discount in digital form, such as Steel Diver or BlazBlue or the like.

For that matter, games like Harvest Moon and especially Animal Crossing would benefit from having it on your system at all times. I just don't like the idea of paying the same price for the bigger games that you might be able to resell later not being able to be resold, or losing out on playing them again so-many years later, if their servers are no longer supplying them.

Buying all 1st party Nintendo games digital going forward.

I really hope that Nintendo releases 3DS titles on the eShop that have already been released such as:

Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Star Fox 64 3D
Pilotwings Resort
nintendogs + cats

I will probably get all retail games because I like to have all the boxes , manuals, etc. Also because I still have the same 2GB SD card that came with the 3DS. But maybe I'll get a better SD card and download Scribblenauts.
