Poll: Wii U Retail Game of 2012

With every new console comes a new poll! Welcome to the very first Wii U Retail Game of the Year (GOTY) poll! That's right, this is the poll in which the biggest Nintendo fans in the world (a.k.a. YOU GUYS!) get to vote on your favorite Wii U retail game of 2012! You guys did buy some Wii U games, right?

The ten games listed above are the top ten games of this year per platform based on the average rating as determined by GameRankings.com. Games must obtain a certain number of reviews (9 for retail, 4 for eShop) in order for it to be eligible for nomination. The nominees are listed in alphabetical order. All members have only one permanent, binding vote. Poll closes exactly 30 days after original posting.

As with the 3DS poll, this poll focuses on retail games only. Unfortunately, there aren't enough games to fill the list for the Wii U eShop poll, so as with the 3DS last year, we're gonna have to wait til next time for that. But as always, happy voting, and don't forget to give some honorable mentions below!

An honorable mention from me would be Scribblenauts Unlimited.
Its hard for me to choose since of the 5 games on the list I have are all different genres so I can't really compare them too well. I voted for NSMBU just cause.

I like the games I own on Wii U. But the one I spend the most time is Sonic All Stars. It's a really amazing fun and furious game. I love the throwbacks to Sega's past. Even the guy from the old Sega Saturn commercials shows up on a rocket riding around in "Race of Ages". Can anyone see the "trick" they did with the name? Pretty funny.

I have yet to beat Scribblenauts. And NSMBU.

ZombiU gets my vote. Its seems the most deserving to win imo.

I went for ZombiU too. It's a great launch title and I hope they make a sequel.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 definitely gets my vote.

I would vote for NG3: Razor's Edge. But it looks like games on different systems had their scores copy/pasted regardless of system.

Anyway, I went with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for my vote.

I voted for NSMBU.

i have never been a big fan of Mario. could play it maybe a half hour and then be done with it. for this one, i kept playing it because my nephew liked to watch and eventually i got hooked. i ended up beating the game (first time beating a mario game) and i really enjoyed it through. i wish now i would have bought the game instead of renting it a few times.

Hmm, I haven't played all of these so I don't feel like I can properly vote for this.... I might decide to vote NSMBU, but I don't want to since I'm not a huge fan of the series....We'll seeeee
