I was tempted to get some online mode time in tonight but my Wii died. My files are corrupt and the system will not boot up, it had received plenty of playtime over the years up until this recent end of the console drought This the first time I've had a system die on me in the 20 years of owning consoles. I guess if I want my VC games back I'll need to send it in.

Make sure you try unplugging the wii and let it sit for 15 - 20 minutes. Also be sure to call nintendo service. Good luck!!!

Thank for the helpful tip, I haven't tried that yet but I will in hopes that it will boot up again. I should remove the SD card, shouldn't I? I had a lot of unfinished games that I'm thinking I will be losing my save files for, like Okami which I was about 20 hours into. Kind of morale crushing to be losing all that and I'm sure a few other things (hopefully not Wii Points).

i was about to get this game yesterday because someone give me a walmart giftcard, buuuut, the walmart i was at didn't have a copy.. so, i called my wife and had her search their website to see if any of the walmart stores had it.. but nooo, they didn't have it at any of them! does walmart just not sell it?

Wouldn't surprise me. Sega's done a terrible job of not only advertising the title, but also distributing it. Two jobs, and Sega screwed them both up. At least they still post Ask a Drudge Videos (#8 is up for those with interest).

I saw three copies at my Best Buy when I went to pick up a GPS. Still, the distribution of this title is disappointingly slim.

Also, what does everyone think of the new patch?

I found it! I finally found it! I was at Best Buy and I found the last copy of Conduit 2 on the shelf!

I got it, along with Wii Sports Resort.

This is a pretty pointless question I guess, but does Conduit 2 support controller vibration at all? I only ask because I recently played through Captain America on Wii (also by the same developer as Conduit 2) and it didn't support it even though it has been such a standard feature since 1997. MDK 2 also didn't support it but that is a different developer.

I find it really sad more people aren't playing this game. I think it really is one of the best online games for Wii. I still haven't added any friend codes or had friend/rival matches yet.

Also I have an off-topic thing to discuss, but I'm not going to make a new thread about it. This is hardly a reliable source, but has anyone checked The Grinder's Wikipedia page recently? It suggests that game will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive. Anyone could say that, of course, but if people wanted to conjure up a believable publisher, you'd think they would choose Sega. I would say that WBI would be a stark improvement in publishing, though.

Wow, this thread completely went to the grave...not just this thread, either, but the whole online community for this game in general. Matches are pretty hard to find nowadays, so I'm personally just gonna be selling the game soon, and hopefully pickin' up MW3 by year's end. Shame the C2 online community didn't stick around longer, but y'know, whatev's.

It would have, if Sega would have supported it better, so that more people were aware of it/cared about it, and went out and bought it. I'm willing to bet there are still people who play the first one online.

Then again, HVS would have done a lot better for themselves if they had stuck to their guns, and kept the series to what they had originally envisioned, just made it BETTER. Instead of making it silly, bringing in the stupid Duke Nukem voice actor, slapping the character in generic Space Marine type armor, etc. They basically tried to make a desperate appeal to fans of OTHER FPS games...and failed. Too bad.

Has anyone else noticed how Prometheus is evil?

It may not seem obvious at first, but upon further inspection it becomes more evident. For example, when Prometheus is interrogated in the first game as to the nature of the ASE, he lies to you. This seems a small thing, but what reason would he have to lie to Ford about the device?

Secondly, it was Prometheus who instigated violence against the Progenitors. He did this long ago, too. He sent a Destroyer against Li way before the events of the game, even though Li was very pro-humanity.

Third, Adams said he sensed THREE Progenitors coming from Ford, when really it should be four. One is unaccounted for, and I'm betting it's Prometheus. Especially since his last line is delivered AFTER the Progenitor energy transfer.

Fourth, Tiamat is obviously some form of Xanatos Gambit; someone had been planning for a long time on how to bring her back. Your first thought might be Adams, but that makes no sense because Adams was the one who shut her off in the first place! The other Progenitors are dead, so that leaves Prometheus.

Fifth, and probably the most shocking, is in regards to who Prometheus is. Let me explain a bit; in one of Li's tablets it's explained that Prometheus saved some humans from the Great Deluge. In the Sumerian pantheon, this would make Prometheus the god Enki. Now the god Enki and the Titan Prometheus have a very interesting connection: in conspiracy theory, they were both linked to a far more recognizable figure...

Prometheus is LITERALLY Satan. Mr. Ford has been unwitting pawn of the devil himself.

I'm really upset that we'll never see Conduit 3, because this kind of stuff is cool.

Glad you like it, I play from time to time when I get a chance, if you want to add a lot of people to your list, you may want to check the gamefaqs' conduit 2 board, the community there is pretty good. "Big Team Grab Bag" always has players AFAIK, but if you feel like having some challenge, try to find matches on the Hardore playlists.
