Red Wii bundle announced for North America!

I was at nintendo.com this morning, and I saw they had announced the red Wii bundle, and red DSi XL, for North America!

The red Wii ($200, available November 7) comes with NSMBWii and Wii Sports (not Resort T_T); it also comes with a Wii Remote Plus. Bad news: No Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary game, and no Donkey Kong arcade game.

The red DSi XL ($180, available November 7) comes with Mario Kart DS (really? could've picked a better game than that).

Both systems are "limited edition."

The Wii Remote Plus (available November 7) will be the new standard controller. It will be bundled with future Wii systems, and will also be sold seperately for only $39!

FlingSmash comes out on November 7, and has the Wii Remote Plus bundled in. It only costs $49 (you're basically getting the game for $10 extra).

EDIT: I didn't see any announcement for the Super Mario All-Stars anniversary pack... But hopefully it's announced soon. :s

I'm so getting this wii. However, I am a little disapointed that we don't get any of the software extras. and I wonder what I will do with an extra copy of nsmbw.

$200 and comes with NSMBW and a Wii Remote Plus? Smart move, Nintendo. Very smart indeed. If I didn't already have a Wii, I'd make this a must-have purchase. Even if I already have a Wii and NSMBW, though, this'll be a good recommend for friends or friends of friends who are interested in getting a game console, but that aren't sure on which to get.

It's disappointing that Donkey Kong Classic isn't being bundled together with it. But I guess I can understand.

Also, Wii Remote Plus is going to be $40 straight up. That's effectively a $15 price cut on the current Wii Remote/M+ bundle.

A red Wii would be cool, but I don't want those games with it; already have them... I'll be patiently waiting for the 25th anniversary game to come out.
