For CoD there is still the issue of having the whole marketing exclusive to the Xbox360 version. Even if there is a port, and it is of equal quality of the 360 version, we might not get many details anyway.

Activision puts a version of call of duty out on everything. I'm sure it will come to the 3ds/wiiu in some form.

Have they formally announced Black Ops 2 to clarify platform support yet?

Also, like previous years, Wii/DS support was announced later on. So the same may hold true here, but for 3DS, Wii U and Vita as well.

Oh looks, BLOPS 2 is coming to Wii. Wii U version is obviously still under NDA.

having a wii section in a forum doesn't a confirmation make. I'm not saying it won't come out on the wii, but I'd be shocked if they bothered with the wiiu coming out at about the same time.

Ok, the users on that forum were practicaly daring anyone to post this over here:

Also after skimming through the last few pages, after talking with some people (Ideaman included), I think it's safe to say we're looking at 2GB of total system memory for Wii U. The remaining questions will be what type of memory is it and how much will OS and friends need. 512MB will probably be the worst case and hopefully they'll trim the footprint even more.

I would hope that we got something like, 2GB of ram in addition to what nintendo will reserve for the OS. and hope they don't dedicate a whole core to OS/Network. give the OS half a gig, 2 gig general system memory and a gig of pure video ram. lets dooo it.

the thumb sticks are clickable

This are the kind of rumors I like to see, no walls of text or encryption. Altough, Im not really thrilled for clicky sticks/pads, Id be more happy for pressure sensitive triggers like the gamecube had.

They must've changed them from Circle Pads if that's true. That's also big since it'd be the first time Nintendo used clickable analog sticks.

Regarding the Circle Pads on the Wii U controller, cortjezter told me that the Circle Pads on the Wii U controller is the same as the Circle Pads on the Nintendo 3DS, but I wonder how much Nintendo improved the Circle Pads on the Wii U controller (if they did improve it at all).

What da? The wiiu's slide pads look like they are conical with an edge while the ones on the 3ds are flat and smooth.
Or he means the handling of them is the same?

I know that this is old news, but I want to analyze a bit on the recent Wii U rumors regarding if there is Circle Pads or analog sticks on the Wii U controller.

It seems like John Harker is identified as a NeoGAF user with a reliable source.

Sadist (NeoGAF) wrote:Harker is good people guys.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=310

schuelma (NeoGAF) wrote:In my experience he is legit.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=284

guek (NeoGAF) wrote:Harker is a well established dev. He posts frequently in the NPD thread with corrections or gives sales ranges and nobody questions him. He was the one who was at GDC this year and said the Wii U launch had some hot titles incoming.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=286

Here is what John Harker has to say about if there is analog sticks or Circle Pads on the Wii U controller.
John Harker (NeoGAF) wrote:the thumb sticks are clickable
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=232

I know that what John Harker said is very vague, but it could mean two things → 1.) Nintendo replaced the Circle Pads with clickable analog sticks on the Wii U controller (which is I assuming most Nintendo core gamers wanted Nintendo to do in the first place and pretty likely since maybe third party developers requested Nintendo to put clickable analog sticks on the Wii U controller) or 2.)Nintendo made the Circle Pads similar to clickable analog sticks in how it feels and functions (this is probably the most likely option Nintendo took).

I think that we should take this as a grain of salt.

Edit: It seems like a Nintendo/Google OS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Es_%28operating_system%29
But I am not so sure if this hints about the Wii U.

You can see all of the recent patents of the Wii U here: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20120108329.pdf

And according to the patent, the Wii U controller has analog sticks even though it looks more like the Wii U controller has Circle Pads. Look at Figure 8 (Sheet 7 of 28), Figure 14 (Sheet 11 of 28), and US 2012/0108329 A1 Page 10.

And I am sorry for double posting. I wanted to delete my previous comment, but somehow, it will not let me.
