I would greately apretiate that. I should end my stuff roughly 4 or 5 hours after the conference, so when I start surfing the web, I would go straight to my pm inbox because of the massive spoilers

All in all I liked what I saw yesterday. Even the hilariously corny skit. Yes it was over-the-top cheesy at times, but...that was kinda the point. I personally got a chuckle out of it!

Wii U GamePad looks awesome, and I'm glad they're getting smart and offering a black color option for the system(just hope it's available at launch).

Miiverse looks like a terrific, tried-and-true Nintendo approach to the online elements of the system. It's like they're taking the best of Twitter and Facebook, cutting out all the junk and building their own social network out of it, and as someone who mostly plays single-player games, I couldn't be more thrilled to try it out. I'm especially impressed with their initiative to build the Miiverse experience beyond their own systems, too.

Wii U Pro controller. Love that it's shaped after the 360's. Hate that haters are gonna hate and degrade the Wii U to a souped up 360 because of it.

All around great presentation so far, now bring on the games!

I wouldn't say that anyone is going to say the Wii U is a "souped up 360" just because of an optional extra controller. The Wii U GamePad is THE controller for the system, not anything else. But yes, the fact that they took a perfectly good (and quite frankly perfectly functional) Classic Controller Pro design, and s*** on it by making a new one that looks about as lame and uncomfortable as the 360 controller feels......is just pointless.

But so far, that is one negative in a sea of positive I've been seeing about this new console. And again, it's a 100% optional controller. As if you won't need it to play, not even VC/Wii Ware games. So I likely won't get it.

After seeing all the great news yesterday I think I forgot to post, so I just want to say that I can't wait for tomorrow! The Wii U looks fantastic! I like what they did with Miiverse, but I hope comments can be turned on or off. I don't want to see comments 24/7 while playing games like Mario.

Here's to a great E3...what I'm hoping for most is a new Donkey Kong Country, a new Mario Paint, and a new Waverace! :D

are you kidding? I hate the xbox ecosystem*(and really even more after today's presser. what a joke that was), but the 360 controller is very comfortable. it's basically the dual stick controller distilled and refined into something that is comfortable and works very very well.

a 360 controller with a nintendo quality dpad? sounds great to me.

To each his own I suppose. I find 360 controllers to be extremely comfortable.

I want to try it out, but I'm not getting a 360 just to do that, lol. I have heard a lot of people say the 360 controller is the best, but that the D-pad sucked. If this fixes that problem, and copies the best traditional controller to date, so bet it. I sure do love my CC Pro, though.

There is an argument over at NeoGAF from a developer mod with access to 'studies' who thinks the analog stick layout on the 360 is better, but then he covers his ass by citing that it's all preference.

I was kind of confused about it. The study he was citing must have been some random test with a small sample size, or perhaps tested only on a specific demographic/age group, which meant whatever findings from it revealed, had limited applicability. But then why mention it at all.

Probably just to be negative about the fact Nintendo aped a nice controller? who knows,

But yeah, that's out there.

Nah man. Sorry, but I've used them all, and I've never cared for the Xbox controller, the original OR 360 versions. I like the Playstation controller just fine, except I've always hated the disconnected d-pad. I thought it was a stupid design back when the original analog-less PSX controller came out, and I think it's just as bad on PS3. Which, consequently, is why I feel that the Classic Controller Pro design is perfect, because it has a form that is more or less reminiscent of the Gamecube/Playstation type of mold, but the d-pad is a NINTENDO d-pad, which, barring the tiny one on the Wii-remote, usually means large size and comfort. They invented the damn thing, and they always do it the best.

I just don't like the look or form of the xbox controller, simple as that. But like I said, it's a non-issue, because unlike the Wii, I seriously doubt that there will be any games that you actually NEED to own and use this new "Pro" controller for. The Wii U GamePad has all the buttons you would need to play any Virtual Console games, and anything else, retail or downloadable, will most likely be made with the GamePad in mind as well, seeing as it is the main controller of the console. So I'm good to go.

This...this is a dark day for Nintendo.

At least the rumored information I got about Platinum's game last August was right...mostly.

I have a 50/50 opinion regarding Nintendo's conference specifically. Yes I'm looking forward to a good number of Wii U games (including multi-plat titles I do not own on the 360), but I feel like it lacked the "oomph" I was hoping for.

I'm not shouting "oh noes gloom and doom," but Nintendo really needed more than one hour, there were no megatons at ANY conference this year, and right now this feels like it was the weakest E3 since E3 2007 for all parties involved.

Is it weird my favorite conference this year was UBISOFT? A game maker, not a console maker?

That was pretty awful. Besides Pikmin 3, there was really nothing compelling for the Wii U.
NSMBU looks like yet another rehash of the same game... Wii Fit U and Sing both look like more casual dribble... They made way too much of a deal of Nintendo Land, which doesn't even look that great... Hell, ZombiU was still just a bunch of pre-rendered videos! Then, a bunch of ports of games we've seen before on other consoles... Underwhelming.

Hopefully they'll pull something interesting for the 3DS tomorrow, because that was a spectacularly bad.

I agree, something was missing. I can't describe it honestly. Like...give me like a sign that NuSMB or Pikmin 3 has online multiplayer support. Like...differentiate your products. Pikmin 3 looks great, but...yeah, I dunno. They said they had a lot to talk about, but they didn't really say anything.

I highly doubt Nintendo Land is going to sell that console and it really feels like they're repeating the Wii strategy, but openly this time. However I just don't see that happening, even with Mario at launch.
