The rumor of probably being an Radeon Embedded E6760 GPU is from a nintendo blog called nintengen.
A gap just like playstation2/gamecube? I don't expect so... the new engines are coming obviously more powerful and costing less, one of they prior objectives is to reduce the cost of production of games. I think the Wii U will receive a lot of downgraded ports of games from DurangOrbis (when willl have, because I think that a lot of devs will not bring them because of sales and stuff).
And I didn't even start to talk about the consoles they have in mind when they create or gonna create their respectives engines...
I don't wanna be undesirable, but I think that some nintendo fans should get ou from the dreamland.
EDIT: Oh sorry, you said gamecube/xbox. But anyway, I still think the leap will be more and noticeable
In my opinion, the power gap between the Wii U & the PlayStation 4/XBOX 720 will not be as big as the power gap between the Wii & the PlayStation 3/XBOX 360. But then again, who knows?

KingBroly wrote:I don't think we will. When PS4/720 come out, they'll already be behind behind PC's by quite a bit. If developers and publishers want costs to come down, they'll have to limit themselves to what resolution they create those assets in. They'll also have to make games more efficiently, because the stories I've heard about some development cycles have been ridiculous.

KingBroly wrote:I think that will help, but the money for development will still be mismanaged, go towards staff that shouldn't be working on a game, or be spent in marketing. Everyone's still going for the "OMGBIGHITBBQFTW!" game, when in reality a few middle of the road A games at cheaper costs to the consumer will sell just as much over the long run.

Also, with my Wii U I will be getting...
Wii U Console (Black)
Wii U Gamepad Pro (White)
Assassin's Creed III
Project P-100
New Super Mario Bros. U
Rayman Legends
Pikmin 3
Wow...I didn't think I'd say I'd get 5 games at Wii U's launch. WTH...

The PS3's bonus content of AC games have always been lackluster and not worth playing.
have they? I only have the AC games on PC and haven't finished the first one. (see what steam sales do nintendo? I bought so many damn games I can't even start them all)
