Couldn't they just shrink down a Pikmin boss? See no reason that wouldn't work/look good.

It'd only have to be about the height of the screen like the bosses from Brawl were.

Technically speaking, not really. They would have to do the opposite in reality.

In the Pikmin games, Olimar's real size is described to be about the same as a quarter. In that perspective, all Pikmin bosses aren't actually as large as they appear to be.

So just make them size of that creature in the Pikmin stage in Brawl. If they can size up Olimar and I think Kirby, they can do the same for a boss.

Yeah, I think Kirby is supposed to be pretty small too, but Super Smash Bros. throws all of that out of the window for practicality.

They can easily throw Pikmin bosses into the game if they wanted to, as size wouldn't be a problem.

This is more of a reason that the "Ridley is too big" thing was a load of crap, since none of the characters are relative to how big they would legitimately be when compared to the other characters. They are just sized to make sense within that realm.

Characters in the same world are obviously properly sized, but not against one another, and even then, some characters change size all the time anywa (Bowser, for example).

But yes, I support this whole Pikmin boss thing.

Yeah, I thought we'd already established that size doesn't matter for anyone in Smash a long time ago ;)

On the topic of music...honestly, I was pretty pleased with Brawl's soundtrack overall, but there were a few instances where I felt the arrangements/selection of music could've been better. Good example is the Pokémon Gym theme. Compare that to this.

I'll take the latter any day of the week.

Also...they completely forgot about the Lower Norfair/Magmoor Caverns theme for the Norfair stage last time! Such an obvious (and totally awesome) track that would've been perfectly suited to the stage, yet it was a no-show for some reason.

So nitpicks aside, let's keep the scope and diversity of Brawl's soundtrack going forward, but focus on making the arrangements a little more powerful.

...I was kidding with the size of the pikmin bosses. Of course they can scale them down, but it would be also good to make them big enough to occupy some part of the screen, like the Bulborb in the Forest of Hope stage. What I think of the Pikmin bosses, is that one of their features is their intimidating size. So you can have them on the edge of one stage and stick their tongues out trying to attack you like Tabuu's face attack.

^Well the Pokémon soundtracks are something else in the anime, I don't know why they couldn't use those instruments for the smash ost.

What I heard about how the music was implemented, they told the musicians to choose their favorite tracks from the games and rearrenge them.

In my sincere opinion, I would like to hear a new arrangement of the City Trial from Kirby Air Ride, it was very good.

I somehow want Ippo Yamada from Inti Creates to compose some music. I really really love his compositions of the Megaman series, and he would do a good fighting theme, if not from any Nintendo franchise, of the next main theme or any random battles like the "Metal" battles with the Metal Bros. in Melee.

Here is an example of what he can do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmwX4hkJiM8

In other news, I came across some Brawl trivia: http://didyouknowgaming.com/post/281448 ... -submitted I never understood that codec call...

Edit: hey people, the final poll of vgtribune is up. http://vgtribune.com/smash-poll-2012-finals/

I felt the codec call was easy to understand.Since Snake was the only third party character before Sonic,he got jealous because lots of people wanted Sonic while most never asked for Snake.

And i heard that the poll had been hacked before or something,so maybe we shouldn`t consider it a good showcase of what characters we can expect in the next game.

By the way,i`d like some retro musics in the next Smash Bros.

I don't think Snake would be jealous, he's the character that doesn't give a care about having fan support. I always thought it was because hedgehogs eat snakes.

If you read what says before the poll, it got hacked, botspammed and trollspammed. Those votes got deleted, and there are now only 8 characters. It also has an IP lock, and the one with biggest votes is, unsurprisingly, Skull Kid, followed by Megaman.

That poll is depressing. As much as I like Skull Kid, and think Mega Man should be in, the poll really has Isaac, Shulk, Ridley and K.Rool that low? There seriously can NOT be that many people who want the Skull Kid in.

When I first read "Ippo", I thought of 'Hajime no Ippo'/Fighting Spirit and got excited. Haha.

That explanation doesn't even make sense. If Eggman/Big Boss are the same voice, why would he hate Sonic? For beating his father? Even though he beats his father too? That's not the joke, and even if there was a Japanese-only joke, they'd have changed it to make sense for us.

And also:
smashbros4svp wrote:I felt the codec call was easy to understand.Since Snake was the only third party character before Sonic,he got jealous because lots of people wanted Sonic while most never asked for Snake.

EHH.. I am pretty sure the joke is the fact that Hedgehogs are a natural predator of snakes. They will curl up and when the snake has been needled enough, they will bite the crap out of them and then eat their heads.

A full description taken from a list of "Snake Killers":
Spoiler:
1.It's hard to imagine that such a slow and weak animal like a hedgehog can kill a viper. A viper attack is a blind attack and a retreat. But against this attack, the hedgehog opposes an armor of spines. The hedgehog irritates the viper continuously and each attack on the armor of spines further wounds the viper. When the viper is so badly wounded that it cannot longer attack, the hedgehog approaches biting the snake from its neck several times. The final bite crushes the vertebrae.

Hedgehogs start eating the snake's head first. The eating lasts several hours, as the hedgehog's teeth are rather adapted for an insect diet. A large viper cannot be consumed entirely by a hedgehog.

Hedgehogs are only partially immune to snakes' venom, and they can be even killed if bitten in certain areas, like the muzzle for example. Some can die in 3 hours after being bitten by the muzzle, others can experience just a swell.

Hedgehogs' resistance to snake venom is 35-45 times higher than that of a Guinea pig the same size, but this is influenced by the hedgehog's size, the venom amount and the age of the snake. A hedgehog can also tolerate doses of arsenic that may kill 25 persons.

While I am a fan of Skull Kid, I wouldn't want that to be in over new characters like Shulk or Isaac. He is also less deserving than a recurring boss enemy, like Vaati.

However, I would rather Skull Kid be in than Ghirahim. Nothing against him specifically, but he would be a very uninteresting character in SSB, and the game really does not need one-offs. At least there have been Skull Kids in 3 games, and the one in MM is also in OoT.

Ridley over Ghirahim anytime.I just hope that if he makes it in the game, they will be more creative than just making a copy of Charizard and calling it a day.

Yeah, I'd hope Ridley has a unique moveset too.

Also, I'm going to bet a significant amount of Skull Kid voters are basically trolls trying to pick what they think's the least likely option.

I dont know about everyone here, but when i look at the poll and what characters are suggested,i can`t help but being happy about the change in direction. If the requested characters were going to be added in the next game, would there be anybody else to suggest and add after,or am i just crazy :?:

I have this feeling that people are trying too hard to pick newcommers for the next game to the point that we see some random characters from some random places in a franchises or characters from ours nostalgias just for the sake of nostalgia.Maybe we`re indeed looking at the bottom of the barrel for newcommers.

For stages, how about a 3ds exclusive stage like Swapnote? The background would constantly change with different stationery, and also new notes could occasionally come and change up the stage with new text that the characters could stand on.

An idea of mine is if you connect 3DS to Smash Bros. U. That you or a friend writes a note during a fight.

A character I would like to see is Red from Solatorobo.

I would like to see if they can add a feature to add custom Pushmo stages.

So who else do you guys think should be a 3rd party newcomer? You know, besides the usual Pac-man, Klonoa, Bomberman, Megaman, Rayman, Simon Belmont, Ryu Hayabusa and Okami Amaterasu.

I already stated I wanted to see Goemon, but for the sake of having something new to say... uh... I don't know, Oliver from Ni no Kuni.

Why not have the Pushmo stage read your save data for Pushmo on your 3DS and use the custom stages on that?

@J0RdAnN
That seems pretty good

My idea for SSB4 is to have skins for the characters. The skins replace clones. Each skin is a different look for the character but has a different moveset and slightly different stats. An example would be mario and paper mario: Let's say Mario retains all stats from Brawl. Paper mario would be more floaty, but have a gliding ability and replaces Down B with a hammer instead of FLUDD. Final Smashes would be different too. These skins would be unlocked similar to characters but clear the character select of clones giving more room for unique characters. More could be added as DLC

Lots of people have been asking for skins... but there are some characters who have no choice but to receive color palette swaps like the Ice Climbers and Pit.

I just want more character representation from other franchises. Why Golden Sun has been ignored is beyond me...

Ice Climbers could be something simple like swaping Momo for Nana, and Dark Pit could be his alternate but with a different voice or his alternate could be the centurions from the multiplayer in Uprising.

Really, they are tons of possibilities. They are exceptions through,King Dedede and Didey Kong are two characters who will have trouble having alternates, the same for Mr Game and Watch and maybe a few others.
