well, I just started playing Solatorobo, and now I'm hoping for Red Savarin to make an appearance, unlikely as that may be. While he is owned by Namco Bandai, Pac-Man probably gets dibs/

I checked the game on Wikipedia and while Namco published the game in Japan,Nintendo published it in europe and Xseed published it in north america, however i heard Xseed is some sort of a publishing partner for Nintendo.

I say unlikely but this is definitly a more interesting suggestion than another King K Rool or Waluigi request

Personally I think it just makes him ugly in a way that makes me not want to play/look at him. I have no problem with it being bloodshot, but maybe tone it down. He can still be scary without being disgusting.

You can also find hate for Tingle, who got 3 of his own games and has a fanbase regardless. Also Big, but he still showed up in All-Star Racing. Both happen to be characters I think are awesome. And Waluigi.

smashbros4svp wrote:Waluigi is more fun when he`s with Wario.By himself,he`s a waste of time but with Wario it makes the duo look funny in their own way.

Instead of making him playable,Waluigi could act like a partner to Wario during his fights.Waluigi would stay in the background giving him items but after a few items was given,he`d go in the fight himself with his tennis club however he could be knocked out very easily through Wario could pick him up as an item to perform a dual attack which would be powerful but would throw Waluigi away from the arena regardless of where you do the attack.

That way,Waluigi gets a more active role but he doesn`t steal a spot and he makes Wario even better than how he was in Brawl,so it`s a win for everybody

"Steal" a spot? He's a perfectly viable character and would work on his own using items from spin-off titles with a Final Smash based on Mario DDR to make him a joke character, but he'd also have speed and reach, which is great.

Waluigi could still be *with* Wario if both are in the fight and I honestly think he'd be great on his own.

I agree on everything here. First off, I like Waluigi, Tingle, and Big the Cat. They're not glamoruous, but they're viable characters with distinct personalities and they deserve to be liked.

On Waluigi in Super Smash Bros., he should be in as his own character. He's been in enough games to warrant a spot on the roster.

@MoldyClay;if the next game would had like 50 and more characters then yeah of course Waluigi shoule be added but in the case that the size of the roster doesn`t go much farther than Brawl i can think of many characters that are more deserving or interesting to see in there than Waluigi, and a joke character is only funny for a while, after the joke gets boring.

Also,Luigi already did the dance thing,it was his final smash in brawl, and peach use some moves based on sports games with her forward-smash attack.Your idea for a playable Waluigi doesn`t sound very convincing

As much as I like Waluigi, I just don't see him being on the roster because all he's ever been in is sports games. Sure he can have moves like a tennis racket and a golf club, but I think that characters who actually have their own game, like Matthew/Issac from Golden Sun, should be placed in before Waluigi. If they're planning on putting a lot of characters in for the next Smash Bros, then I'm fine with that and I hope he makes the cut.

I've been following the polls on VG Tribune. While I'm very happy that Shulk (my most wanted) has been leading the polls almost the entire time I'm absolutely stupefied over this apparent cult following for Dunsparce, an extremely irrelevant pokemon from the second generation is even making noise in this poll thats supposedly going to be seen by Sakurai. really we have a chance for our voice to be heard and people are wasting their suggestions for that thing? guess thats the last time nintendo takes our opinions seriously :|

EDIT: well nevermind that, all sorts of crap is going on over on that site, cant really expect it to be taken seriously anymore

Aside from the Waluigi discussion, do you guys think the Koopalings and Bowser Jr deserve to be in the game?

I don't know about you, but many characters from the Mario series look good enough to be in the game, I feel that if they want to add more of those characters they would have to split them into more series, like the New Mario series, the Paper or RPG franchise, Mario Party? series, and so on.

Koopalings, no. There's just too many of them and it doesn't make sense to add one or a few of them but not all. Not only that, but there's just too many of them to even combine into one slot. I can see all of them being combined into an assist trophy featuring the Koopa Clown Car though. That'd be cool.

As for Bowser Jr, in my opinion, he has the highest chance of any Mario character of being in the new Smash Brothers seeing as how he appeared in almost every Mario game since Sunshine and I think they could do something cool with his paintbrush. Make him a light and speedy character and he's got my vote.

Out of the Mario series, I'd say to add Waluigi, Bowser Jr. and Paper Mario. They don't all have to be added for this game, but I want them to show up eventually.

Koopalings could be a special kind of character. Either how the pokemon trainer or ice climbers are. Basically I think it's possible to include all of them as one unified character.

I just can't see them doing that, there's 7 koopalings so that seems a little much for a Pokemon Trainer or Zelda type character. You also have to consider the fact that that means 7 different movesets to program which means we'll get less of other characters in the roster.

Then there's the Ice Climber issue. Since they all have different body types (compare Wendy to Morton for example), I can't see them being an Ice Climbers type character. Not only that, but if 4 people chose koopalings, there would be 28 characters on the field, all moving with unique animations at the same time. There's no way that won't cause slowdown, especially online.

I'm perfectly content with the Mario lineup as-is. In fact, I don't think any one series should have any more than four characters.

And I don't really like the idea of splitting series unless the universes are different enough to warrant such a move. Characters like Yoshi and Wario are fine in that regard, but others like Paper Mario and Bowser Jr. would seem like overkill in my opinion.

Honestly, I never particularly cared for the idea of Paper Mario as another Smash Bros character. Don't want to have the same general character taking up more than one slot, regardless of how different is moveset is. If they want a Paper Mario character, pick someone who's not a paper version of Mario, Peach, Bowser or Luigi please.

And the Koopalings as an assist trophy is as much as I want from them. Making a character which could potentially have seven different movesets takes about the same amount of time as just making seven new characters, and the Koopalings have an alarming tendency to take a ton of character slots in any game they appear in.

Maybe Bowser's Final Smash could involve him summoning all the Koopalings to help him fight for a short period of time?
That way, they're not full characters, but they're more than just trophies.

I liked the suggestion of making them an assist trophy, and Bowser`s final smash was fine since it involved Giga bowser destroying everyone XD.

If the koopalings appear they will either be an assist trophy or they will be in the background of a stage. I can see them all in Bowsers Clown Car. flying around the stage causing mayhem.

If they made Wario and Waluigi an Ice Climbers like character Wario would totally use Waluigi as his weapon forcing him to bend into all sorts of shapes. However as funny as that could be I happen to like Wario's current move set.

Now I've been putting some thought on making a Moveset for King K. Rool. I'd like your thoughts on it. I'm also currently working on one for Waluigi which I'll post later, once I finish it.

B-Crown Throw- King K Rool takes of his crown and throws it, it does more damage if the target is closer. The Crown will return to K. Rool like a boomerang.-First seen in Donkey Kong Country (SNES)

Side B - Blunder Bluss-K.Rool pulls out his Blunder Bluss and fires one shot, shot varies each time it's fired.-First seen in Donkey Kong Country 2(SNES) Shot types are as follows
      - Standard Cannon Ball with an 80% chance of firing The shot fires and then drops Cannon ball can be lifted and thrown by another character.
-status effecting purple cloud of smoke/mist with a 10% chance of firing. The cloud stays in place in front of where K. Rool fired it, creating a stage hazard. Damages anyone that goes inside it.
-Spiked Cannon Ball that does more damage when fired than standard cannon ball however it is heavier than the standard cannon ball and has a faster rate of dropping and cannot be moved/lifted/thrown like the regular cannon ball.creating a hazard on the stage. 5% Chance of being Fired
      - The last 5% the Blunder Buss Back Fires crating a small on stage explosion that damages King K. Rool and any characters within range

Up B - Rotor Copter King K. Rool uses his Rotor Back pack to make an aerial recovery, Like Snake and Pit before him this does nothing more then pull King K.Rool upwards. No Damage is given for using this move. However Unlike Snake and Pit, once airborne K.Rool moves very slowly. When time expires on the move and King K. Rool lands anyone below him will get crushed and take damage. First seen in Donkey Kong Country 3.(SNES)

Down B- Kremling Punch King K. Rool puts on his boxing gloves and does a giant punch. First seen in Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

Final Smash (assuming they return) Kreming Charge- In an all or nothing attempt King K. Rool lowers his head and full on charge in the direction he faces. Any opponent hit by the charge is tackled to the ground, upon hitting the ground cannon balls fall from the sky. If the attack does not hit King K. Rool can fall off the side of the stage.

If there's a Bowser's Castle stage, maybe they could recreate this scene from New Super Mario Bros 2 and have the Koopalings as a stage hazard:

I think that's the best use for the Koopalings in Smash Bros.

Like that idea too. Anyway that integrates the Koopalings into the game without them being playable characters is good.

I wonder why you gave his recovery move a down-special imput when most characters have their recovery being up-special.Making it down just seems like a forced change.

Outside of it,it`s not a bad idea

After they announce how the 3DS and Wii U version will be different, I'll start making my character prediction. Because they can always have it to where the 3DS would be history of their handhelds and the Wii U would be the history of their consoles...so who knows. Waiting game! (...For a good 2 years)
