With my cutback in spending, I'm just getting Wii U Deluxe, The Wonderful 101, and TANK!TANK!TANK! or Scribblenauts Unlimited depending on which one is cheaper.
We're going to rack up some serious Nintendogs trainer points together!

Was the Wonderful 101 confirmed for launch? Because I know that Pikmin 3 isn't making it sadly, hoping for at least one of the games I was looking forward to at launch.

As of right now, the only games I'm guaranteed to get on launch day are Nintendo Land (I'm getting the Deluxe model), and Black Ops II (I already paid off the Xbox 360 version months ago, so all I had to do was switch my pre-order to the Wii U version, which I took care of yesterday at GameStop).

I'm hoping to get at least three more games. If all I can get is two more, then it's gonna be NSMBU and Mass Effect 3 for sure. If I can get a third game at launch, I'm still trying to decide want I want to get "now," and what I can get "later." The main games I'm trying to decide between are ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Darksiders II, and Assassin's Creed III. ZombiU looks like it'll be pretty good, and a nice return to "true" survival horror. I absolutely love Rayman Origins, and Legends looks like it'll be more of the same, yet still better. I'm playing Darksiders 1 right now and I'm loving it so far, the combat system works well and I like how the world is all interconnected and there's dungeons (basically Devil May Cry meets Zelda), and lastly I own every Assassin's Creed game so far and IMO they keep getting better with each new entry (Revelations is the most refined game so far, even if it's only by a small amount and not by a large amount like ACII and Brotherhood).

Well not sure if these will all be launch titles but I've got these pre-ordered:

Rayman Legends
ZombiU
Pikmin 3
LEGO City: Undercover
New Super Mario Bros. U

And going to add Wonderful 101 to that today or tomorrow. Getting Nintendoland in the Deluxe bundle. Will also debate on Bayonetta 2 and Tank Tank Tank. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased with the line-up.

Depending on the money available, my priorities are:

Deluxe Pack
CoD:BO2
FIFA13 (maybe)
Assassins Creed 3 (big maybe)
Mass Effect 3 (large maybe)

Money is tight, and games/consoles are super expensive over here, so I wouldn't be surprised if I only get the console itself at first.

I don't know why people are complaining about launch games, it's an amazing launch line-up. Anyways, here's my new list.
Pre-Ordered: Deluxe Pack, NSMBU.
Going to get: Sonic Racing Transformed, Epic Mickey 2, Scribblenauts U, Tank! Tank! Tank!, Rayman, Pikmin 3, Lego City
Maybe: Toki Tori 2 (If i like the original), Rabbids Land, Skylanders, Runner 2 (If I like the 3DS collection), Game & Wario

From NewEgg

Money is a little tight, and I should be good for the first week with Nintendo Land (I'm going to have to be ok with it :? ) After that ZombiU and Rayman Legends. Maybe I'll get one of those for Christmas. Who knows? I'm just excited for this system.

Nintendo has genuinely impressed me with Wii U and the launch window is strong enough for me to be happy, and who knows what goodies the Big N and third parties have in Spring/Summer 2013?

Pikmin 3 is "launch window", last I heard, which means it could easily drop in Dec. or Jan.

I was able to prodder a Basic Bundle at my gamestop (as they are out of deluxe) so I was thinking Nintendo land.
I basically have it narrowed down to NSMBU Nintendo Land and Rayman. I think it's safe to say first party titles rarely go down in price. where as others like the ports will drop down after a few months. So I'm purposely crossing some big ones (like AC3) off my list with hope it'll be down to $20 in April. Only reason I'm getting Rayman(besides the fact it looks fun) is because I feel like if it doesn't sell well it'll be the last we'll see of him for a few years. Everyyone needs to buy Origin's if they haven't already.

Now that it's more definite on what's coming out:

Will be buying for sure:

November 18th

Premium Bundle - comes with Nintendo Land (Nintendo)

Assassin's Creed 3 (Ubisoft)
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Disney Interactive)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii U (Nintendo)
Tank! Tank! Tank! (Namco)
ZombiU (Ubisoft)

Holiday 2012

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper (Tecmo Koei)

This year

007 Legends (Activision)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Activision)

Launch window (til end of March or something like that)

Aliens: Colonial Marines (Sega) - February 12th
Avengers: Battle for Earth (Ubisoft)
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition (WB Games)
Game & Wario (Nintendo)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Capcom) - March
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (Nintendo)
Pikmin 3 (Nintendo)
The Wonderful 101 (Nintendo)

Might buy:

November 18th

Darksiders 2 (THQ)
Rabbids Land (Ubisoft)
Scribblenauts Unlimited (5th Cell)

Holiday 2012

Trine 2: Director's Cut (Frozenbyte)

This year

Nano Assault Neo (Shin'En)

Launch window

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition (EA)
Rayman Legends (Ubisoft)
Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien (Gaijin Games)
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Namco)
Toki Tori 2 (Two Tribes)

As for Assassin's Creed going down in price any time soon, it's not just a port, it's a multi-plat game that is coming a couple weeks after the other games only because it can't come out the same day because the system won't be out. So, if you are counting on all versions to be down to $20 in April, don't count on the Wii U game going down anytime soon.

EDit: Not that anyone cares, but my initial list for comparison:

FadedAreWii wrote:A realistic launch day to me is looking like: (for those complaining about old ports)

Zombi U (new game)
Nintendoland(hopefully comes with it) (new game)
Tank! Tank! Tank! (new game)
Aliens Colonial Marines (new game)
New Super Mario Bros U (new game)

And if they make launch or within launch window:

Pikmin 3 (new game)
Project P100 (new game)
Game and Wario (new game)

Games I will pick up down the road:

Batman Armored (old port)
Lego City (new game)
Rayman Legends (new game)
Tekken Tag 2 (new game)
Tenchu Cree... I mean Assassins Creed 3 (new game)
Scribblenauts Unlimited (new game)

Games I may pick up later:

Mass Effect 3 (old port)
Ninja Gaiden 3 (old port) (edit: possibly a little more than that and may be moving up on my list to day 1)
Darksiders 2 (will be new enough)

Definitely not a lack of content to choose from.

Since I didn't really save up as much money as I wanted I'll probably only have Nintendo Land since its bundled with the system, and I'll for sure get NSMBU.
If I get enough money I don't know if I'll get Scribblenauts Unlimited or Zombiu. I want that rooster hat that comes with Scribblenauts if you pre-order at Gamestop but Zombiu looks really good too. Although my dad might not approve of Zombiu since I'm not 18 yet, and honestly I'm kind of turned off by the gore in it too. Whenever my dad gets a rated M game hes always sure to ask the people at Gamestop the content in it to make sure its not too graphic, good ol' dad :P

I'm only getting the basic, just so i can get one other game at launch that isn't Nintendo Land (It looks fun, but there are other games I'd rather have). My plan is to pick up with my system;

Darksiders II (Number one priority game. IT COMES BEFORE ALL OTHERS!)
New super Mario Bros U
Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper (I read somewhere it would be a launch title, could someone confirm?, but if not....)

Then probably Lego City Undercover.

When Christmas comes around I'll probably ask for ZombiU, Arkham City, and/or the Wonderful 101 (If it's out)

I'm looking at Nintendo Land, NSMBU, Rayman Legends, Sonic & All-Stars Racing, and Tank! Tank! Tank! currently (if I do go through with grabbing the system at launch, anyway).

That fine and definitely your choice, but you also have to look at that extra $50 for the premium as more than just Nintendo Land. You are getting a charging dock for your controller, which is a big plus, and you are getting 32GB storage instead of 8. Those two things, plus, I think I heard something about two free years of some point reward thing, and then there is also Nintendo Land, which is listed as a $60 game. So, I mean, if you don't want it, that's cool, but just keep in mind the value on the Premium isn't just in Nintendo Land, and since you think it at least looks fun, you may want to reconsider giving up those other extras.

I'm worried I won't be able to get a Deluxe Bundle due to it being sold out in many places. The Deluxe Bundle is a great deal considering they are giving you stuff that together is more than the extra $50. I also wanted the black Wii U from the first time I saw it. Hopefully I can preorder one before its too late =(.

  • Nintendo Land - Automatic with Deluxe pack-in.
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - My most anticipated game.
  • 007 Legends
  • New Super Mario Bros. U - I may actually hold off a bit on this one...
What I'd really like to find out is what launch window eShop-only titles there may be (other that the few that have already been announced).

I'm getting Nintendo Land since the deluxe comes with it.

Problem is that I have NEVER spent $60 on a video game. I really hoping that there is another newegg pre-order deal before November so I can pick up a few games. Worse case is I'll break down and pick up NSMBU

Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U are the only locks for me at the moment. I'd add in Pikmin 3 as well, but unless I misheard, it's to be released during the spring of 2013, and for what it's worth, I wouldn't consider that to be around launch.

I CAN'T WAIT for Pikmin 3. However I am not holding my breath for it in 2012. I did however snag Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed 3 and Rayman Legends from that awesome $12 off Newegg preorders. I pre-ordered the black deluxe Wii U so I will also get Nintendo Land which will hold me over for a day until I get my 3 games from Newegg on Monday (Newegg is awesome about shipping pre-order stuff and having it arrive the first business day of release). I wanted to feel like a kid again and I haven't received a Nintendo game for Christmas in about 15 years (since I have bought my own for so long), so for nostalgia I will ask for Mario U as one to open up on the 25th.

I understand what you are saying, but it all really just comes down to one thing; I like the white console and controller more. That's pretty much the only reason I want the basic instead. Also, I don't really even use the charging cradle and stands for my 3DS, so I don't really need that stuff either. If I had more money, I would probably get the deluxe, but I calculated all of my spending and gaining of money for the sake of buying a wii u months ago, all based around a $300 price, and when I re-calculated for the deluxe's price, I didn't have enough money for the launch I wanted.

And as far as memory goes, i plan on picking up a 1TB hard drive, because i need it for other stuff anyway (my computer only has like 4GB of it's measly 64GB left), but that'll be well after launch or possibly around Christmas. The 8GB can last for my launch games though.

Thanks for explaining your opinion, it's cool and i appreciate it :D
