Hello everyone. I have a question to ask regarding the Wii U. Do you think the Wii U will cause problems for Nintendo?
Well, I have been hearing gamers saying that there are problems with the Wii U which could cause problems for Nintendo which are (by the way, I apologise if I sound like a troll and this sounds too repetitive):
- Nintendo decided to keep the Wii U name for their new console instead of abandoning the Wii U name entirely and giving a different name to their new console (Gamers say that this is a problem, because the Wii U name will confuse people about if the Wii U is a brand new console or just an add on to the Wii & the Wii U name both sounds and is outright stupid)
- There is a rumour that says that the Wii U is only 2x stronger than the current gen consoles (Gamers are saying that this is a problem, because many third party developers will think that the Wii U is not powerful enough to be classified as a next gen console and they will avoid developing games for the Wii U until it is too late)
- The Wii U GamePad and the Wii U Pro controller does not have analog triggers (Gamers are saying that this is the problem, because of the fact that racing games and shooters rely heavily on using the analog triggers)
- The Wii U GamePad has a resisitive touchscreen instead of a capacitive touchscreen (Gamers are saying that this is the problem, because there is no excuse for the Wii U GamePad to not have a capacitive touchscreen since now, a capacitive touchscreen is cheaper to produce than in the past, and there is no excuse for the Wii U GamePad to not have a capacitive touchscreen since smartphones, mouse touchpads, tablet computers, and the PlayStation Vita have a capacitive touchscreen)
- The Wii U does not have a built in storage (an internal HDD) nor a USB 3.0 (Gamers say that this is a problem, because not having a built in storage makes storing digital games you bought via online difficult since digital games have a large filesize and digital games can make the storage in the Wii U run out quickly & a USB 2.0 has slower transfers than with a USB 3.0 and not having a USB 3.0 makes the Wii U seem very outdated and it makes the Wii U vulnerable to the XBOX 720 and the PlayStation 4)
Edit - So far, first party Wii U games only run at 720p at 60 fps instead of running it at 1080p at 60 fps (Gamers say that this is a problem, because first party Wii U games not running at 1080p in 60 fps makes the Wii U illegible to be a next gen console, but instead, the Wii U is an another current gen console, and it makes the Wii U not future proof and vulnerable to the XBOX 720 and the PlayStation 4)
- There is no confirmation that Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and etc. will be launch titles for the Wii U (Gamers say that this is the problem, because if Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and etc. is not confirmed to be launch titles for the Wii U, third parties will play the waiting game and not develop any games on the Wii U until it is too late)
I can agree with them on some points, but on most points, not so much. What do you guys think?
