Tales of the Abyss isn't just an excellent game to get into the franchise with, but also one of the best reasons to pick up your 3DS again.

So far it's one of the worst rpgs I have played. Does it get better soon?

What is bad about it. I think it is a pretty darn good JRPG

I think it's excellent. I've never played it before so the 3DS version is my first time playing it. What's not to like?

@MathewT21 @Windsor the story (for now) is awful and cliche, I don't like the characters, the 3d is very bland, it's kind of ugly, and the combat feels shallow. I still can't change who I'm playing as nor can I do magic yet, so everything could change. I'm currently looking for a ship's engineer to fix the ship. He was kidnapped by the little girl who has monster friends

This is how every Tales game feels for the first dozen or so hours IMO
