The more I see these patents, the more I want to throw my money at the screen and get a Wii U NOW!

Darth Vader wrote:This thing really has potential to do some cool stuff, but you really have to reach for gameplay applications when it comes to stuff like this (and even then... Wii's controls had some obvious potential, and only a handful of games that actually lived up to it). And I don't know about you guys, but I'm not as gung-ho with the idea of spinning around with a tablet as a core gameplay feature of a game. Would it be novel? Yeah, I guess, for a couple of hours maybe.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for Wii U, but this 'window into another world' thing is a little overblown. I doubt we're going to be seeing much of itoutside of Nintendo-published mini-game collections

Who cares!
If this leads to a minigame type compilation ala Wii Sports, it could do wonders for pushing hardware units.
As a stockholder that would please me greatly!

I hadn't really considered mini-game compilations and stuff like that, that'd be pretty cool.

Really gotta wonder why they don't have a camera on the back of the controller though. The AR possibilities for a fully featured, fully powered home console like this would be endless

This would be a fantastic idea to implement into an epic mickey game or push the possibilities of games like maybe a wario DIY just think of face model rendering or maybe level making in some games or even a dr laurtec or prof layton game to find clues hidden to the naked tv viewers eye (why cant i work for nintendo?!) EPIC.. simply EPIC!
